Review: Purchased a recliner ([redacted]. ) on Oct 25,2013 requested leather upholstery (special Order requiring 6-10 weeks to complete). The recliner was subsequently delivered on Nov 23 or 28 days later.Upon inspection, I discovered I could not open chair (noted that on delivery slip) and accepted it (thinking it was tight because it was new). However, as people began to sit in it, the chair started to lean over to the right side.I called Customer Service who arranged for a repair person to come for inspection. On Dec 17th the repairman declared the chair had a broken undercarriage (probably happened in transport). He wanted to order replacement part but I told him I wanted to return the chair for a store credit so I could choose another (because of issue of not being able to open chair) also I was becoming uneasy because I could not know what other issues this broken chair might have.I brought up the fact that I had a problem with my other La-Z-Boy chair and despite many service calls, the issue could not be fixed. I deal with the problem of adjusting this chair everyday. He documented chair with pictures, etc.I could not resolve this issue with customer service who refuses to take back chair and will only fix it. I stated I purchased a brand new chair in perfect condition and do not want one that has to be repaired upon delivery even if it is a special order (which I now doubt because of time frame of delivery). We are now at an impasse and would like aid.Desired Settlement: I first requested store credit for purchase price of $902.44 but now would like a full refund and return of chair.

I am rejecting this response because: I do not see a solution to my complaint regarding "a broken chair delivered" (the repairman said the broken undercarraige probably happened in shipping). It is not my fault that the defect did not show itself for a few days but I did note on the delivery slip that "I had difficulty opening chair and assumed it was due to newness". I feel I contracted for a brand new chair in perfect condition and thats what should have been delivered. I will accept another chair in perfect condition or a store credit to choose another style or a full refund.
