I dropped off the rails a couple weeks ago

Review: Towards the end of September of this year I entered into an agreement where LB Welding would fabricate a pair of new aluminum railings for our new front steps. We signed the paperwork and gave a deposit of $350. The expectation of delivery was 4-6 weeks, and [redacted] stated that we would be able to call at any time to check status. I called a few times and left a few messages within those 6 weeks, mostly towards the end of that timeframe as I wanted to be sure that we were still on schedule since another company was waiting to install the new railings. Plus, I was nervous about the children climbing our stairs without support on Halloween (since the old railings were unusable, and not attached to the stairs anymore). After 6 weeks with no contact, I began calling every day, to multiple phone numbers of the company. [redacted] finally picked up the phone on one of my calls, roughly 8 weeks after we signed the paperwork. He indicated on that call that he was running behind, but everything would be completed within the next week or so - in fact, he told me that he would be calling me two days later to make sure. He never called, and I began to call every day again. After me leaving him well over 30+ messages asking him to either call me back, return my deposit, or deliver the railings (which were supposed to have been delivered two months prior at that point), he finally called me back on Dec 11th, to tell me (again) that everything would be completed within the next few days. Again, this was never done, and he never contacted me back again to explain the delay.

It is now the end of December, and I still don't have my railings or my deposit. [redacted] (or anyone else at LB Welding) refuse to answer their phones or return voicemail or text messages. It's too late now for me to contract another welder to have new railings fabricated before the first snow, and even if there was time, without the deposit that I gave LB Welding, we wouldn't be able to afford it anyway.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the railings delivered ASAP so that I can have them installed. The other company who I contracted months ago to install them is understandably upset, and they keep reaching out to me so that they can finish their end of the job and get paid.

At this point I would also appreciate some sort of reduction on price. I understand that the initial price agreed on was already a lower than normal price, because instead of the standard 4 week delivery expectation, we agreed to 4-6 weeks, as well an extended payment schedule after delivery. However at this point, I feel that it has been entirely too long of a delay, with no contact from the company at all. Although I received a text message on Dec 11th with a photo of unfinished railings that were supposed to have been mine, I can't be sure that they will ever be delivered, or that LB Welding will come through at all.
