LDA Group Reviews (2)

Review: [redacted] received a voice mail from "[redacted]" at LDA Group requesting information to send certified paperwork for a [redacted], who has no relation to [redacted]. Called the phone number back to let them know there was no [redacted] in relation to [redacted] and was confronted by very nasty "supervisor" ask to speak to a supervisor and he said "Tough". So, I hung up and did some research. Called the number back to ask for a supervisor and received another man who was just as rude and asked for personal information and cell phone number called. I refused to give more information and told him I was going to file a complaint with Revdex.com, and he said whatever and hung up. IO am now filing this complaint after seeing there is no available information about this company on the internet, no supervisor to settle this with, and want the harassment to stop with 70-year old woman, [redacted], who was scared to death from their treatment. The original voice mail has been saved as a file if needed to be forwarded for reference.Desired Settlement: I want the harassment to stop and the LDA Group to acknowledge they have the wrong contact info for [redacted], who is not known or of any relation to [redacted].

Review: I received a message on my mobile phone stating that certified documents were being sent out to my home address for my brother. I called the number that was left on the voice message and informed the man that answered that the recipient does not live here and neither I, nor anyone else living in this house would be signing for the documents. He then proceeded to ask how I was related and if I could convey the message. I don't know what business it is of his what my relationship to the document recipient is but informed him the intended recipient was my brother and I would do my best to relay the message but it was not my responsibility to do so. He also asked if I could reach out to my parents to see if they could contact my brother. After ending the first call, and stewing for a bit, I called back to find out the caller's name and business, and how my cell number was obtained. I was told the agency does a property search on a federal database to obtain phone numbers. I asked him what right he had to call me on my personal cell number about something that has nothing to do with me. He informed me that is how they contact people. He further infuriated me by having the audacity to tell me I "shouldn't get so riled up" about the call. Really?!? Do NOT tell me what I should or shouldn't get "riled up" about when you are not the person whose privacy has been violated and time has been expended on an issue that has nothing to do with me. He did give me the company's name (LDA Group) without issue but was reluctant to give me his name, claiming he had already provided it in the beginning of the call (which was a blatant lie because he initially provided neither the company name nor his name). I doubt he provided his real name but I was told it is [redacted]. I was told my phone number would be removed from the database but that doesn't change the fact that the call should never have been made to me. Calls like this should be illegal as they amount to nothing more than harassment. Not only was my privacy violated but I wonder what would have happened had I not called, would the delivering party harass my son or partner into signing for documents that shouldn't be their responsibility? This is an outrage.Desired Settlement: Stop collection agencies from contacting people who are not the named correspondent. Measures such as trolling through property records to obtain phone numbers of people who may or may not know the person in question should be illegal.
