We employed this company to do a lead inspection in our new home. After a short amount of time the inspector said the inspection was done and no lead was found. We agreed upon an amount with the understanding we would receive a report. We need this lead report for our records and signed some paperwork with the agreed upon price. After many attempts and run around to get this report including “losing the report” , going to create another report and ultimately her telling us she would need to charge us again for a new report. I don’t understand what happened as she didn’t lose our check so how did she lose the report. We tried to be reasonable and give her time but this ultimately did not work. We aren’t going to pay again for something we paid for already.

On March 7th I was hired to perform a lead inspection at ***, ***. *** and *** were buyers of this property. This consists of using an X-Ray Fluorescence machine to detect lead. It is an immediate result. They were told by their real estate agent that the price would be $225.00. I went through the house and tested all of the paint while *** and *** were at the property along with the real estate agents and a home inspector. The property didn't have any lead anywhere inside or outside of the house. I then spoke with their real estate agent ***, *** and ***. I explained to them that I hadn't found anything. I also told them that I could reduce the fee for them to $150 because I hadn't found anything and if I didn't do a report I would finish earlier. I felt they were a young couple and saving them money would help them. My only reason was to save them money. The real estate agent understood all of this. They agreed. On March 11th *** emailed me asking for the report. I didn't remember the situation and I told her I couldn't find any paperwork on it and that I would keep looking for it. We have more emails and phone calls going back and forth. I ended up figuring out why I didn't have the paperwork and I explained to *** on the phone that I hadn't written anything up because of the explanation above. He said he wanted the report anyway. So I told him I'd have to go back to the property and do the paperwork and that we'd have to go back to the original price of $225 if he wanted that. He hung up the phone on me. Then I received your letter.
