Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. His response is the same as it has been from the beginning, I attached documentation proving all conversations back and forth with him admitting that the boiler has not worked right since it was installed, he did not come out the next day when there was a problem, also proven in documentationHe is claiming that the money we paid for the boiler did not come from us, which I can prove it did because it was added to our mortgage when we purchased the house, and he says that the warranty states something about it being void if anyone else touches it, which it does not, but we did not have anyone else touch it, only look at it, my husband *** touched it, with instruction from ***, also proven in the text conversationsHe is stating he paid of his own money, which if he did, we were under warranty, so we are not responsibleHe has done nothing to honor this warrantyYes he came out twice, after multiple arguing and begging, which we should have never had to doBottom line, we paid for a service and equiptment that is not working proplerlyHe knows this and has admitted it, and refuses to helpThis is why I had to come to this pointI no longer will allow him to be on my property or have any say in any part of thisI continue to request a full refund in the amount of dollarsPlease don't hesitate to call me with any questions

Thank you for all of your help in this matter. I am attaching before & after photos of the new boiler install given to the [redacted]s. What these should show you is that the job was not only done up to code, but was also a total upgrade, leaving the customer in a much better position (from being more energy efficient to saving them a lot of money on their utility bills).
Sincerely,
[redacted]

My name is [redacted], I am the owner/operator of Leader Mechanical Services. I had a consumer recently file a complaint against my company that is totally fictitious I would like to know how I am supposed to settle this matter, some advise please? I refuse to give this consumer a refund because she is not entitled to one by law. I personally installed her boiler as a favor, for a friend. At a discounted rate due to the friend of a friend situation. I have had nothing but problems with her ever since at only my expense? I have personally been on 8-9 unnecessary service calls trying to satisfy this consumer! On a brand new boiler I have replaced the 3 major components that drive this boiler. First they complained that one floor didn’t receive any heat, so to make them happy I replaced a brand new zone valve(on their word that it wasn’t working sporadically). Ok everything works great, everyone’s happy end of story right? Nope.Three weeks laterthey called requesting Emergency Service because they have “no heat”! [redacted] directly told me that her kids were FREEZING! Being a single father of four young children myself I dropped everything and got to her house(way outside of my service area, because the “friend of a friend” thing) without delay. When I arrived at her house it was 75 degrees inside!! I checked over everything and asked [redacted] for an explanation and was told that the boiler had randomly fired up again and started working? Mind you this is a boiler and not a forced air furnace, there is no possible way this boiler can react, and change states as drastically as she claimed it did. She did however have lots of questions about a totally different project that she was doing herself at the time. I’ve been in business in WI. Since 2012, and was in business in Illinois for about 15yrs prior, so I had seen this type of behavior before. Had she been more concerned about the boiler and her “freezing kids” than picking my brain about her other plumbing project, I probably wouldn’t have told her, “[redacted], you don’t have to lie to me, in order to get me to come out here.” That is what set this entire thing into motion. I offended her. I know the customer is ALWAYS right, but I just spent 3hrs of my day and rescheduled services calls and everything because I was told there were “freezing kids” to show up to a house that was 75 degrees? Yeah I was a little upset. For the next 5-6trips out for the most outrageous claim [redacted] wouldn’t show herself at all but could be heard directing her poor husband [redacted] to handle her passive aggressive actions for her, or do her ‘bidding’ every complaint was RIDICULOUS, basically show up waste some time, listen to story after story about all the weird things that this very simple non-complex boiler was supposedly doing and leave with the same confusion as the last time. Until about trip number 7 when while looking over the new boiler, I noticed something odd. The digital aqua-stat that controls the boiler said “low-water” on the read-out. Now THIS was something “not normal”! I was SO excited to actually find some kind of problem with this thing because the burden of it was so hard on me and my company. I would never know when to expect to have to drop everything and go for another 3hr roundtrip, or take a poor [redacted] and kids with no heat tongue lashing on Facebook or threw the friend who recommended this nightmare? Anyway I checked the water in the boiler and it wasn’t low? Strange? Called the boiler aqua-stat manufacturer and explained the situation. Beckett International is the company who made this aqua-stat. A service tech from Beckett explained to me that they had recalled the sensor inside the aqua stat because sometimes it wouldn’t sense the water and randomly shut off for a few minutes until it sensed the water again. Most of the time the boiler would start back up on its own after 5min, very-very rarely the boiler would go into lock-out mode and if that happened the boiler would be off for 3hrs before restarting. I cannot describe the joy I had after learning this fact because maybe my nightmare was finally about to end is what I hoped? I also immediately Gave [redacted] and [redacted] the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they REALLY WERE having some strange things happen with their boiler after all right? I think any compassionate technician would come to the same conclusion? So I apologized for thinking they maybe weren’t being completely honest about the situation with the boiler. So Beckett sent the sensor, I happily made one more trip to install the sensor hoping it was an end to both of ours problem? I even for good measure gave the [redacted]’s a free boiler cleaning. At this point the boiler was over a year old and to maintain the warranty the owner is required to have the boiler serviced by an HVAC technician which they had not at this point. I installed the sensor, cleaned the boiler($110 value) and fired everything up, checked over everything and all was well. The [redacted]’s still haven’t paid anything to address any of these problems. Even though all I did through our company was install the boiler and we still haven’t had a single problem with the installation I paid for everything. Our 10yr Parts and Labor warranty covers our parts and our labor non of which were faulty here. At this point I personally explained to [redacted] that since there were no problems with our parts, or our workmanship if something were to happen again like this, they would have to contact the manufacturer for a resolution. I did this repair because I felt obligated to because of the warranty I had given them, and because I truly thought this would end our problems for good. At this point I have lost all our profit, and am spending company money on something we are not responsible for? Customer Service is very important to us. So I take the loss as cost of doing business.   Like clockwork 3 weeks go by and they are reporting the heat is out AGAIN. It’s aSundaynight about9pmI show up to a boiler working AGAIN! Like magic it started up again and nobody bothers to call and say its working maybe you should comeMondaymorning or anything? I show up and the boiler is working. This time [redacted] starts telling me this boiler is a lemon and he wants a new one? I’m thinking to myself we just repair one mistake the manufacturer made, recalled and made reparation’s for and3weeks laterhe wants his boiler replaced? Not the most common reaction. Finally he tells me he want a new pump because the pump is what distributes the heated water through-out the house. He says he is concerned about the wear and tear on the pump because of all the issues he has had with the boiler thus far. He randomly leaves the room to go and talk to [redacted], I can hear them whispering to each other, mostly [redacted] complaining about everything with no concern about what kind of problems she is causing to others, like her husband an I. This takes place for roughly 5min and [redacted] returns and says [redacted] wants a new pump. I know this pump is fine, its pulling correct amperage, and its moving the water just fine? No need to replace it at all. I make the decision that as a finally step towards a resolution that doesn’t involve slandering Leader Mechanical’s flawless record with its consumers over the last nearly 20yrs in business, I will replace the pump, once again at my expense. I also make the decision that if they report one more problem to me about this 14mo old boiler, with-out contacting the manufacturer, a building inspector, or any non vested 3rd party of any type, then I was done dealing with the [redacted]’s and their problems. I also found out that two other non professional individuals have been doing something with the boiler. The contract states that if ANYONE who is not a representative of Leader Mechanical Services works on the equipment at all, the 10yr parts and labor warranty is void. [redacted] signed this contract, and was made well aware of this fact. I can mail a copy of installation contract to your firm if needed. Anyhow I made my 9th and final trip out to [redacted] St. in Poplar Grove, IL. In early December 2015 and replaced their 14mo old pump and once again the [redacted]’s got their way and paid nothing for it.  Three tofour weeks later[redacted] calls again and says the boiler is not working again. He says he “wants a full refund of $4,200.00? I tell [redacted] “that is NOT going to happen. I’ve been in business for nearly 20yrs and have a flawless record of installing quality workmanship in every job we do. I tell him I have never been reported to the Revdex.com for ANY shady business practices, any disputes, or any installation problems. I told him I am unable to help you any further if you are unwilling to do ANYTHING to help yourselves. I told him I would put my company’s reputation and quality workmanship against his and [redacted]’s lies and half truths. If he wanted any more help from me he needed to involve an unbiased third party. After that conversation Mrs. [redacted] contacted the Revdex.com. I answered the Revdex.com’s complaint with valid reasons why Leader Mechanical shouldn’t be held responsible for fabricated stories made by [redacted]. Somehow the Revdex.com has now sent me notice that I will be put down in their system as having an unresolved complaint? It doesn’t take all that much investigating, or effort to see this is a bogus, slandering claim made against us so now instead of her husband [redacted], [redacted] now has the Revdex.com to do her evil bidding. For example she started her entire complaint with a lie “I paid $4,200.00 for this boiler installation” when in fact she didn’t pay anything for it. If you’ll look at the images that she submitted, in one of the texts (she so conveniently saved for over a year and a half), they threaten to call the investor, who paid for the boiler if I don’t come out. I tell them to go ahead but they never do. To this date I have not received a single complaint from [redacted] the real buyer who’s check I took as payment for this installation. [redacted] is the real owner of the property that the [redacted]’s are making this complaint about. The main reason though is that they received exactly what Mr. [redacted] has paid us for and that is a working boiler to heat the property in which they are buying from him. Any more time invested into this matter by myself is wasted time and resources and I have taken, without being forced, every coarse of action I am willing to, to reasonably work this matter out. Unfortunately they don’t care for a solution, they WANT A CHECK.  In closing please promptly remove Leader Mechanical from your list of contractors with unresolved complaints as I do not deserve to have my company slandered on the word of one not-so-honest consumer. I made at least (7) 3hr long free trips to this consumers house to find out the only resolution is a $4200.00 refund check from Leader Mechanical Services for absolutely nothing. The [redacted]’s are first time land contractors who have a lot to learn about homeownership and how to and how not to deal with contractors. The Revdex.com has allowed these goons to use them to strong-arm a good contractor into handing them over their next check of “free money”.

0.0001pt;">The owner of house bought the boiler from Leader Mechanical Services, NOT the complainants, and we haven't heard ANY THING from the house owner. 8 trips were made to the residence and only one part had an issue (it was recalled from the manufacturer, not LMS issue), for which we came out the very NEXT day to replace it. We even changed boiler pump just to make them happy even though there was nothing wrong with the old pump. Finally, [redacted] called Leader Mechanical Services and demanded a new boiler despite the fact that there are absolutely NO OPERATING ISSUES, as recorded by the aquastat control which records boiler data. Thus, there is proof that the only time this boiler shut down was when the power had been interrupted. Also, the original contract states nobody is to touch the boiler or the warranty will be voided; however, the complainants  have had AT LEAST two different people work on that boiler besides me who are not licensed contractors. Finally, this customer will not be happy with Leader Mechanical Service unless contractor gives the customer $4,200 or replaces boiler even though LMS has Already spent over $1800 of the company’s money ONLY to appease customers. These customers do not want to be satisfied they want $4,200 so they can buy any boiler, and their brother-in-law can put it in, thus allowing them to pocket money that never came from them anyway. Co-complainant, [redacted], on several occasions, was advised to direct all further complaints to Peerless Boiler Company because Leader Mechanical Services only holds the warranty on the labor of putting the boiler in, and the labor is flawless. Unfortunately, these people are not interested in contacting the manufacturer, which has been the ONLY source of their boiler’s problems. They are only interested in being issued a check from contractor that should go to the person who bought the boiler and its installation, if the complaint was legitimate, but it’s not. However, LMS is willing to meet ANY contractor, representative, engineering consultant, and/or building inspector from Peerless or not at any time to inspect and assess the accurateness of the installation.
Please feel free to contact me whenever.
