7/24/ Respond to Revdex.com Complaint #*** Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists Jesse ***- Store Manager On July 5th 2016, MrG*** brought in his Nissan Maxima with 200,miles to our facility for us to inspect for an active coolant system leakHe suspected the vehicle
had a pin hole in the radiatorAt that time, there was no mention of any engine overheating conditions on the initial vehicle check-in We performed a coolant system pressure test with system inspection. The results revealed the radiator was not the source of the active leak, but it was the water pump assembly causing the leakWe estimated the repairs for MrG*** and after advising him on what repairs would be necessary to repair the coolant system leak he approved the proposed repairsThe repairs were completed and the vehicle was delivered back to MrG*** on July 7th A few days later after the repairs were performed, MrG*** returned on July 11th and stated that the vehicle was overheatingWe inspected for this symptom, and verified the newly installed water pump was still in exact working conditions and operationsWe further test drove vehicle for approximately miles throughout the day with no engine overheating conditions or symptoms Since this time and to the best of our knowledge, MrG*** has not communicated with us in over one year nor has he ever mentioned that there is a problem or failure with water pump that we replacedThat water pump is still under our year or 24,miles full warrantyIf there are other problems with the vehicle, those issues would need to diagnosed and estimated Furthermore, we advised MrG*** on the initial invoice as well as the follow up invoice, based on vehicle age and higher mileage “Coolant system leaks can cause damage to engine and or any related system components” At this point we will still be honoring and stand behind work we performed on the water pump assembly within the warranty time frame and if any failures were to occur After reviewing all the invoices and interviewing our staff involved, we have concluded our action and service to be appropriate for MrG*** need of a coolant system leakBased from these results we have concluded that no refund will be provided at this time We also have determined that the services and repairs were performed professionally and with the utmost respect to a valued customer and appointing the best team to solving MrG*** repair needs Please contact us if you have any questions, Thank you
