LeafFilter North – Columbus Reviews (11)

To whom it may concern,We have tried to re-seal a leaking miter box on the gutters They are existing gutters that we installed our LeafFilter on Our installers went out on separate occasions and tried to help the customer out by re-sealing the pre-existing leaks in the miter box After the attempts we have suggested to replace the box with a new one for a nominal fee to make sure this is in proper working condition Our contract with the customer was very specific We were to install gutter protection ONLY! We cleaned, sealed and realigned all of the gutters as part of the job and we did what we could to try and rectify the pre-existing leak but have to replace it for the miter to operate properly.Once again, we will do whatever we can to help the customer out and suggest that we install a new miter box for a nominal fee We can be reached at his leisure to schedule this procedure for repair He can call us at ###-###-#### and we will be more than happy to assist.Respectfully, [redacted] VP of Installation

I haven't received a reply from the Revdex.com or Leaf Filter concerning the issue with improper installation of the filters I'm sending a copy of the contract with the details of Leaf Filter stating they would repair the gutters and/or downspouts, if necessaryThey also would realign the gutters, if necessary, then seal the gutters and downspouts with year siliconeAfter watching the installation, and not giving it much thought at the time, I saw the installers modifying the filters so they would fit betweena new roof and existing gutter, evidently forcing the gutter/miter box at an angle causing it not to drain properly and leak [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: This company is committing outright fraud by not telling customers up front that a very dangerous condition will occur when it snowsTheir product has an obvious flaw in engineering designAfter talking to of their people, They dont seem to care or even acknowledge the fact some one could be seriously injured or my house will be damaged.Their reasoning is I should accept the fact I will have debris free gutters,In exchange for the Un-disclosed fact not told up front before purchase, That my gutters will be made useless in the winter months when it snows.Which in turn causes VERY dangerous conditions, That when they ice over, melt over the top,and form ice sheets everywhereThey are obviously driven by only corporate Greed to get sales at any costPeople that live in states where it snows need to be protected from this company from trying to sell them this product.I have lived nearly years in this house and seen every possible weather condition imaginable, And -NEVER- have I experienced what is shown in the enclosed videos and pics, which occurred after the leaf filter system was installed !! I have many more pics that won't fit in this response because of size limitationsThe only solution I am going to accept, Is having them remove the product and refund 100% of my money Regards, *** ***

We have performed a water test and found that the system is operating as designedNevertheless, the position of the existing gutters is not ideal for maximum water acceptanceAdjusting gutter placement or upgrading the size of the gutter was not part of the contracted scope of workIf the customer would like to discuss further options on how we may assist him in addressing these concerns, he should please call and ask for our National Director of Installation Services

We have an appointment to meet with the customer tomorrow (5/1)

We have communicated with the customer and come to an agreement on a next course of action We are going to perform an additional service for the customer at no additional expense that we believe will correct the issue We have also assured the customer that we will be available in the future should there be any future concerns Currently we are working on scheduling with the customer to execute the agreed upon action

My problem isn't with the product or the fact that these things happen, but LeafFilter's processes are so pushy and borderline abusive to your customers There was a complete lack of communication from LeafFilter regarding the sales process and how the financing worked, which we never intended to enter into We met with the sales representative on a Saturday and she didn't even give me and my wife an opportunity to talk about it privately before leaving our house We called on Monday the next business day to indicate that we wouldn't be doing the project at that priceAlso the fact that these things got put into motion so fast that they couldn't be stopped, is a sign of a bad business process Everything was about rushed in order to get the sale done without regard for my wife, myself, or proper explanation of the whole process, including the financing. This mixup shouldn't happen when we call to cancel/renegotiate THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY after our original estimate It signified an overzealous sales process that prioritized the sale above all else, including any potential damage to my wife and my credit We did receive a voice mail from LeafFilter this week, but we have no desire to contact anyone from that company directly We feel used and taken advantage of and don't want any contact from that company Regards, [redacted]

I spoke with the company on Friday and was told to send them documentation from roofing professionals of the cause being their productThe attached email comes from a roofer that inspected the roofing issues the company had mentioned to meI have already forwarded the email to the companyI will also be sending over another letter from a roofing company that did an inspection on the roof

We have reviewed the customer's case and found an amicable resolutionOur local office is contacting the customer to schedule service, hopefully next week

The customer did renegotiate the agreement, however, it was after the original contract was entered and the finance application was sent for approvalWhen the customer decided to move forward with the project at a new price to be paid by check, it was after the financing approval went through - the process was already in motion on 4/14, the time of original saleThe account with [redacted] no longer has an authorization hold on it and the customer may close it or use it for other projects as they'd likeAdditionally, our Regional Operations Manager has called the customer today to go over any other concerns they may have directlyWe are more than willing to address the customer's questions and have not declined to do so

We have inspected the installation and concluded that the water in the customers basement was a direct result of a faulty stone foundation with an improperly sealed piece of plywood filling a large hole However, in the interest of customer satisfaction we have indeed agreed to credit the customer $ The credit is scheduled to be issued by 3/3/
