We recently had a Leaf Filter representative visit us to give us a quote The salesman demonstrated all the features that made the leaf filter system a superior product One of the claims he repeated frequently was that snow build up on top of the leaf filter would melt through the screen and into the gutter The first snow that we had left 2” to 3” of snow on top of the leaf filter and when the snow starting melting the snow did not go into the gutter but ran off outside of the gutter onto the driveway and walkway where it refroze and created a hazards condition Our calls to the company were greeted with “that’s the just the way it is, you’ll have to rake the snow off the leaf filter.” Since that is not what we were told we are, obviously, quite disappointed with the product Fortunately, we had purchased the leaf filter system with our credit card and have decided to dispute this purchase since it does not preform as advertised

Although I thought that their quoted price was high, I agreed to have the job doneI do not want to climb on my roof to clean gutters any moreAt almost $3,I expected the work to take most of the dayThe company sent men and they were finished in 1-1/hoursThey were supposed to clean my gutters before applying sealant to all seamsInstead they put the sealant over dirty and slimy rotten leaves which leaked like a sieve during the next rainA service repwas late for the first appointment, called from *** *** at the second appointment and didn't come, but finally showed up the third timeThe installers were supposed to point out any rotted wood behind the gutters but did notI then had to remove gutter sections myself and make repairs as well as clean out the gutters that the installers leftA service man then came to reinstall the leaf guards that I had to take off to facilitate repairs myselfHe didn't finish the job and has never come back to complete the installationThe original installers did a totally sloppy job and they will not be allowed back on my propertyThe WORST experience I have ever had with a contractor

The product we purchased does not perform as we were toldWe brought this to the companies attention and outside of our having to spend more money to resolve issue they are not willing to rectify problem

I have called twice spoke with *** *** The second time I called he said "oh I see Kevin spoke with you and resolved the issue and closed the order." That is a lieWe had no phone call and it CANNOT be fixed over the phone anyway!! We have had problems with the installation of the gutters since installedThey did come down once fixed it alittleNow the gutters are plugging up with leaves, etc and they are lifting up some pieces of shingles on the roof It is still under waranty but they won't come down without charging usWe just want someone to come down and see what we are talking aboutWe wouldn't call if there was not a problemThe reason we had them installed was because we DID NOT want to have to go up a ladder and clean them ourselves.That is not right and this is very bad businessThis has been since the first call 8/29th I would not refer them to anyone after this long

Before the Leaf Filter was installed, we had no icing problem on the front of the houseI had concerns about the heating wires that we have installed on the roof because of an earlier ice jam several years agoI asked *** *** (sales rep) if there would be any problem with having Leaf Filters on the front of the house with our wires He assured me that there would be no problem.We had Leaf Filters installed on Feb21, On March 14, 2017, we had a blizzard/nor'easter that gave us 14" of snowAs the snow melted, the Leaf Filter immediately iced over completely and all the water overflowed the front of the gutter & completely iced over stairs & deck to our front doorNot a drop of water was coming out of the down spout for daysThe front deck & stairs were completely iced over for days & we could not safely exit or enter the main entrance to our house
On Mar16th we contacted *** *** & he had *** *** from mark

We have reached out to the customer and performed a service inspection. We addressed his concerns and advised that debris on the back of the panel may take longer to naturally shed debris. If he should have any further concerns, we will be happy to address through our Service Department.
