We have received and reviewed the communication filed by the customer to the Revdex.com Upon review we reached out to the customer to discuss The customer is reporting that they have struggled with ice damming in the past prior to the installation of LeafFilter gutter protection The ice damming was to the point that the customer has repaired significant interior damage and even installed heat cables on the roof and in the gutters Because of the history, the customer is passionate about avoiding a recurrence of those ice issues of the past The customer is reporting that there is dripping over the gutters after a 14" snow storm The customer has not had any damages or ill effects to his house after the installation of LeafFilter Furthermore, LeafFilter has volunteered multiple solutions to the one symptom the customer is reporting of a slick front entry The customer was not willing to accept or even try any of those solution because they wouldn't be sure that they worked until next winter At this time the customer's request of returning a portion of the product is not an option as the warranty does not merit a return under the circumstances.Our position is that LeafFilter has installed gutter protection on the house and it is indeed protecting the gutters as intended By keeping the buildup of lb per foot ice out of the gutters, LeafFilter is protecting the gutter from damage LeafFilter has also provided appropriate service by volunteering to execute a solution to the side effect the customer has experienced as a result of premature melt caused by the heat cables even though the warranty does not merit an action Furthermore LeafFilter has considered the customer's request for refund and determined that request does not meet the terms of the warranty and by offering no cost alternatives to the customer LeafFilter has provided an acceptable solutionThanks, Mike P***

We have reached out to the customer and performed a service inspectionWe addressed his concerns and advised that debris on the back of the panel may take longer to naturally shed debrisIf he should have any further concerns, we will be happy to address through our Service Department

We have spoken to the customer and offered some suggestions to help alleviate the concernsWe also offered to do an on-site visit and inspection with a water test and the customer declined at this timeShould the customer change their mind and would like us to come out to assess their unique
situation, they may contact us at any time

I am rejecting this response because: When I first contacted leaf filter about my severe icing problem they informed me they never encountered this problem beforeNow they are saying they have valid solutions from previous experiences with this icing problemI have listened to a few of their solutions and know without a doubt that none of them will work and I'm not going to wait until next winter and have the same problem all over againI have seen you tube videos online showing leaf filter freezing over and causing the same icing problem I haveI have also read many reviews of leaf filter customers that have the same problem and have not seen one review that got a solution to their icing problem because the only solution is to remove leaf filter and this company refuses to do soBefore installation I asked the salesman if there would be any problem with icing with leaf filter and he assured me there would not beHe must have known there were icing problems but failed to tell me about itI have talked to Mike several times and the conversation goes no whereI an requesting a refund and removal for the leaf filter on the front of my houseThis is the only solution to this complaint

I am rejecting this response because: The 2 solutions that Leaf Filter proposed will not work, and they know it. We have tried to reach the customer in regards to their concerns. The customer can reach our management team by calling our Service Department at ###-###-####.

While we can certainly understand and sympathize with the customer's assertion that the proposed solutions will not work, we also understand that the customer is speculating based upon their isolated experience with this one particular installation.  Our contention is that these solutions are valid and base that upon our experience that is from a position of significantly more situations and proven experience.  We will gladly hold open our offer of service to the customer to improve his experience should he decide to accept in the future.

We have reached out to the customer and performed a service inspection. We addressed his concerns and advised that debris on the back of the panel may take longer to naturally shed debris. If he should have any further concerns, we will be happy to address through our Service Department.
