We requested quotation from Leaf Filter during Game Fair in AnokaCompany called us within next two days to schedule visit by their sales personEven during the innitial call something smelled fishyThey said all "decision making" family members have to be at home because this is very important decisionWhen I said I'm engineer and I do make that decision in our household, they said my spouse should be involved in such decisionsDay before visit we were called again and informed that sale person is unavailable for whatever reason but we are lucky because "commercial director" himself will visit usI guess we were lucky On 24th we were visited by MrXY We wanted new gutter leaf protection because our is simply not workingMrXY give us what he calls "commercial offer" because as he said they have overrun from Mystic Lake Casino projectHe claimed this will be done within next days, but we have to be "flexible"He gave us so called "commercial" pricingThis is fairly large job for sqft houseI did not care about pricing so much he however offered me "commercial pricing" of $or so ($off...) with "condition" that the job had to be finished within days on flex install timeThat was perfect for us and I did not care so much about pricingI wanted to have good job doneWeek later I got call from your scheduling departmentThey wanted to schedule install for September 16th (or 12th?) and had no clue about term "flex install"I wanted to speak to MrXY or other supervisorThey told me somebody will call me within hoursNobody didOn September 3rd I called customer support line, explain my issue and requested to cancel this orderLady said manager will contact me on Monday I did it in writing via their website as well just to be sure they got the messageNobody didOn September 10th, I attempted to call them againThis time I said I'm going to complain with Minnesota Department of Labor and request investigation to this caseThey have to have license with DLTOnly after that I got phone call from Mike, their sales / installation managerHe was very professional and did talk to me for extended period of timeOnly then I found out that MrXY is not Commercial Director and neither he is direct employee of the companyThey claim he printed his own business cards and uses his own "receptionist" to scam customersI'm ashamed that I was not careful and believed in this sales scamHowever, I'm a person who does not like when business representatives are abusing naivity of customers who are not skilled in businessFor that reason, I'm going to file complaint with MN Department of Labor and Industry and ask them to investigate the business practices of LeafFilter And there is plenty of reports similar to this oneTo be fair to Leaf Filter, I have to add this IS NOT complaint about product itself since I never got a chance to test it

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

Installed in July Started calling in Jan because icicles were forming where they hadn't before creating hazardous ice spots on front steps and in front of garage doors Was told this was evidence their product was working by creating a barrier that did not allow clogging of gutters, to use salt Constant dripping began to deteriorate front steps Problem increased through late winter into spring Once rain began, waterfall level overflow from gutters continued to deteriorate front step and overflow was an issue in several other places We made 2-more calls and each time an installer arrived to clean debris from top of gutters and say problem was solved My husband posted rating of out of review and the sales manager contacted us to follow up I was not aware of the review, so couldn't address with him I began seeking "manager" level assistance in April I've placed numerous calls requesting attention that have gone without response to both the local Eden

We Purchased these gutters in the beginning of July That were not installed properly from the begining They leak at the seams and overflow every time it rains I have contacted the merchant on several occasions in the past few weeks Each time, they schedule a visit and no one shows up to do the work When I call them back, they claim that someone is scheduled to come out next week It is always the same answer, someone will be out next weekI have called times and it never changesThey have polite people on the phone but it seems impossible to actually get someone from the service department to come on site and address the issue
Highly suspect firm to deal with I should have paid with a creditcard and not a check At least then, I could dispute the charges and force some corrective action

During the install process I pointed out to the installer where the existing gutter's leakedHe stated that he would take care to caulk those area's, however during the first rain they leakedOne leak is worst then beforeThe salesman's pitch promised that they (leaffilter) would take care of any problems that might occur, and the contract clearly states thatAfter the first rain, I emailed Leaffilter about the leak problemNo response from Leaffiler to my emailCalled customer service a week later to state that I had a leaky gutter problemThe rep took all of my info to pass it on to the service deptNo response what so ever from leaffilterCalled customer service again one week later and reported the leaky gutter problemAgain the rep took all of my info and stated she would pass that info to the service deptIt has now been more that one week later and not a word from LeaffilterLeaffilter contract clearly state's that they will seal the gutter's, which they clearly have

I responded to a leaffilter advertisement,on 04/03/ leaffilter salesman Howard *** came to my home and measured our roof from the ground without climbing up to look at gutters, he assured me he could see gutters were in good shape and the leaffilter gutter system would work on all gutters I entered into an agreement, signed by myself and mr *** to intall gutter protection system on 04/05/ a leaffilter installer installed the systemi paid in full as per contract on 04/05/ as part of installation, as quoted from contract, clean gutters and downspouts, seal gutters and downspouts with 50yrsilicone,repair and realign gutters, as it had snowed 12+ inches on 4-3-and gutters had ice in them installer said he was unable to do all this and a service man would come later when service man came on 05-29- he said system was not compatible with gutters without additional componets and he would report it to his supervisor who would call meafter not receiving

We executed follow up service on 10/17, however customer has requested we change the color of the splash guard we installedWe are in the process of rescheduling with the customer

Since installation 3/12/I have had to have the product serviced times and have another call scheduled for 6/25/The leaf filter system did not handle snow it caused icicles to form and drip around the perimeter of my houseThe leaf filter guard installed does not allow the rain to enter and it overflow and runs in front of my doorwaysThey came and put some splash guards on but it flows around themI was told my single story ranch home was perfect fit for their product but it isn't workingThe gutter guards also collect tree debris and does't allow the rain to enterI discussed this with them before installation as well but they claimed it would not be an issue, citing the screening is so fine the debris would blow ofcording to the lifetime warranty they say I
have a year of free service, I shouldn't have to have weekly visits to maintain it and I believe they are just trying to pacify me until that part of the warranty expiresI bought this product because I am a

On August 24, a rep was scheduled to come to our house to measure and provide estimates for gutter guardsUpon completion, he insisted on giving us his "pitch" in our kitchenWithout asking permission, he walked to our kitchen sink, took our paper towel from the roll, and proceeded to run water over the old sample gutter to show how the old gutter guard would simply wash the paper towel awayUpon leaving, I found wet paper towel still in our sink and threw it in the garbageHalf hour later, as we finished dishes and turned the garbage disposal on, it made a horrible sound and started leaking from under our sinkHaving a baby, we needed to clean bottles by hand and use the sink to warm milk, so we were forced to call a plumber the next morning and pay a weekend rate to have them come fix it and make sure it stopped leakingThe plumber said something large likely got in there, causing the disposal to leak I asked if paper towel could do that, and he confirmed it definitely w

On we signed a contract with Leaf Filter for installation on our home and a few additional items to be done gutter installation and replacement. On May 2nd- an installation date and time was set up for Thursday May 4th at approx9amThis date was agreed upon as the contract states they will be paid upon completion and we advised LeafFilter that an owner would be able to be there in the morning onlyWe were told the job should take about 2-hours and would be done by noon or shortly afterWhen no one arrive by multiple calls were made to Steve who seemed to be trying to communicate and coordinate with crew leader Nathan. When crew had still not arrived at LeafFilter was called to reschedule install date.Leaffilter Steve stated quot You do not have to be there....you can call and give us payment information after you have seen it installed or send a check.....and we can give you some money off because of your problems today.quotReturning home

We apologize - this billing issue has been rectifiedDocumentation has been sent directly to the customer's email

At this point I have been contacted by a MrMike ***I do not really know his standing role, but seemed very professional with me to this pointWe agreed that the system was not installed correctly at allI am giving MIKE and LeafFilter one last try to "get it right", as Mike had mentionedHis team is going to come out on Tuesday the 23rdSo after the deadline Revdex.com has setDo we know if they will come out to make it right, I don't knowBased on the email, they would not come until I agreed to reverse all my negative social media criticism of the productI did not imply that I would do so until I was satisfied in the install and functionality of this productWe had a conversation about if the system didn't work after the third correction, I could get my money backThere was an email communication around this that came from Mike and it was very one sidedI will attach a copy
Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2016/02/25) */

To whom it may concern,
Attached is the cancellation that is requested by the customer. Consider this a cancelled order from our company and the loan.
Respectfully,

The authorization being cancelled does not fully resolve the issue. This should not be on my credit and an account should never have been opened in the first place. I never verbally agreed to have the application submitted due to the fact I was not ready to move forward. The sales rep had me fill out the form to "lock in my rate" and was to be held until I obtained an auto loan and informed him I was ready to move forward.

I am rejecting this response because: they showed up to repair problem area with unsightly splash guard piece...

which did not match existing gutter color (not professional at all).  Installer stated they had custom made the piece from left over scraps found in their scrap pile.  No change in resolution.  Thank you.
