 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
This compnay Leahy autobody did not give me any explaination of the charges; which is why I was upset and cursing at the staff members there.  If I would have known the charges and had the slightest explaination of the charges the conversation would have went differently.   The problem I have is that if Jerry at Leahy would have told me, prior to even picking my car up for them to work on it, what the fees were; I would have immediately said nevermind.  I would have not gotten any work done with them; having no knowledge of their previous work history on cars.  I had never heard of this shop or dealt with them prior to this event.  He continues to state that he spoke with [redacted]; he is not the owner of the vehicle and any correspondenc should have come through me, [redacted], since I am the sole owner of the car.
Regards,
[redacted]

MY name is Jerry L[redacted], owner of Leahys autobody & [redacted]. I have been in business for thirty one years and have never had an incident at the Revdex.com. With that said, here is my version of the events that happened. I personally spoke with [redacted] and [redacted] for every...

conversation, no one else who works for me. Kim and Frank delivered the car and spoke with the customers about thefinal bill for diagnostic time, was out on a towtowed the customers car to another garage per the customers insurance, the towing club is called [redacted]. I advised the customer that the garage was not open, with a note on the door it would be closed for health reasons. After speaking with [redacted] on the phone, she decided to leave it there for now. After about a week [redacted]'s boyfriend [redacted] called me and discussed us repairing the car. His concern was that he was not going to get “ripped off". He stated that he had the car at other garages and they could not figure out what was wrong with it, and didn't want to pay for any unnecessary repairs. assured [redacted] that we have the latest diagnostic tools, and that we would diagnose the car. We went on to further discuss, that [redacted] wanted an assurance from me, that if we put parts on the car, and this did not fix the problem that we(Leahys autobody) would not charge for the parts or labor. I personally discussed with [redacted] this would be difficult for us to do because we would lose money, and we just cant do that. However after further discussion with [redacted], I agreed that we would charge him for the diagnostic time, and that we would call him with, what the car needed to repair and he could decide if he wanted us to repair the car, [redacted] agreed to this.We diagnosed the car, and discovered that the car had ten codes stored. After researching suggested to [redacted] that we should repair the least expensive, most probable part that needs replaced. Our snap on diagnostic tool is the very best that we can buy. It had showed ten codes stored, meaning the car had more than one problem. The car has around one hundred and fifty thousand miles on it, which is a factor. I am a minimialist, meaning, I try to repair a customers car for the least amount of money. discussed with [redacted], that the least expensive most probable repair would be to replace the thermostat and the sensor,(the car was overheating) he agreed. We replaced the parts, and drove the car, this did not repair it. I called [redacted] and discussed that this did not repair the problem and discussed the next part that the scan tool said also needed replacing. He said he would call me back, [redacted] called me back and said he did not want us to do any more repairs, and he was not paying for any parts or labor that we had invested in his car. I told him I would credit him the $180. I was out of the shop towing a car when [redacted] called in to find out what her bill was. When our secretary Kim, told [redacted] that we did not charge for the part or labor we had invested in her car was at no charge, but as agreed, she would have to pay for diagnostic labor, [redacted] became verbally abusive, and cussed Kim out, Kim hung up on her. When [redacted] called back, she got Frank, the shop manager she became verbally abusive, Frank told her he was going to hang up on her. Frank also explained to her that we did not charge her for the parts or labor we invested in her car, only for the diagnostic. feel we went above and beyond for this customer.Sincerely, Jerry L
