Avondale's response has item to be corrected I did not tell them that I did work to the differential I simply looked under the truck and saw the silicone gooped onto the differential Avondale's response says they did the make-ready work to the truck and that we accepted the truck We trusted them and did not feel it necessary to crawl under a brand new truck to check flood damage We trusted Avondale [redacted] about the truck's condition Since the last report, the truck has started sloshing old, sour water out of the exhaust pipe Driving it at an incline results in water exiting the exhaust system - more flood water We will be taking photos and making a complete report We would like this vehicle towed to Avondale [redacted] , and want to stand WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, THE GENERAL MANAGER FRANK KUNA during the inspection I want to be present from beginning to end of the inspection, going over all of the damage to the vehicle I request MrKuna make us an offer to trade this truck in for another truck, comparable to this one The starter has now quit working completely There was a smell of burnt wiring I would like to have an offer from the General Manager to have them fix the problems that are all under warranty, and to give me an offer to then take this truck as a trade in, on a new truck comparable to this one (same year, features, options, etc.) I need to know what the dealership is willing to do - by way of an offer for me to use this truck as a trade in on a new truck Thank you We can have the truck towed on Monday I would like to have a loaner vehicle while the truck is being repaired I want an appointment with the service department, scheduled so that I can be present from beginning to end of the inspection, not to start without me I will plan to arrive before the tow truck arrives with the [redacted] Frontier [redacted]

Although I cannot be certain, I believe we made an inspection error on the vehicleIt is my opinion that our technician overestimated the amount of break pad remaining on Ms [redacted] vehicle As a result, in addition to apologizing, we have replaced both the front and rear brakes and resurfaced the rotors at no charge Our goal is to provide all customers with the best in communication, and customer satisfaction When our research supports we may have made a mistake, we need to correct it We need to fix it quickly, and go “the extra mile” Thank you, Jan P [redacted] Service Director [redacted] ***

We assisted the customer the day before receiving your email, successfully placing Ms [redacted] in a replacement vehicle The customer is happy with the transaction and the customer is satifisfied with outcome.Thank you, [redacted]

Following Mr [redacted] ’s complaint, we invited him to the store to attempt to trade him into an alternative vehicle My team and I spent a significant amount of time attempting to assist We could not arrive at terms that were acceptable As noted on our original correspondence, the problems that exist with the truck were not present when we sold the vehicle close to three months and three thousand miles ago Sincerely, Frank K [redacted] Executive Manager

Unfortunately, although it appears simple, in activating a non cruise controlled vehicle is very complex with great risks This particular vehicle is a throttle by wire system which means it does not use a conventional throttle cableInstead it has a computer controlled throttle motor with many safety features and systemsDue to the potential safety hazards of an electrically controlled throttle system we cannot modify or change the factory design There are a few independent shops that will install a safety tested aftermarket system However, for many safety reasons we highly recommend against doing this. The possible issues include: stalling, unintended acceleration and other potential safety concerns Relating to the previous repairs listed, we welcome an appointment to both review and go on a test drive to remedy all of your concernsWe welcome the opportunity to help change your dissatisfactionSincerely,Debbie C***

Our service manager, Tony V*** has contacted *** ***We have agreed to repair the radiator hoses for her at no charge for customer satisfaction*** has been a great customer & we want to continue our good relationship.Debbie C***Controller*** *** ***

We are very sorry to hear about Mr*** complaint. We reviewed the transaction and feel it is necessary to clarify a few key points Mr *** purchased a used Ford Truck from us on Feb 1, 2017. Because of the age of the vehicle, It was sold "As-Is" We
explained to Mr *** that although the truck was inspected, emissioned, and safety tested, we were selling the vehicle "As-Is". Mr *** transaction took days to finalize with the lender. During this time we were in constant contact with him and Mr *** did not mention any issues with the vehicleOn April 27th, days later, we received a call from Mr*** stating his check engine light was on and he wanted us to make repairs on the vehicle We are willing to help Mr*** with the trade of his vehicle and will make every reasonable attempt to help him out of the situation

Avondale's response has item to be corrected. I did not tell them that I did work to the differential. I simply looked under the truck and saw the silicone gooped onto the differential. Avondale's response says they did the make-ready work to the truck and that we accepted the truck. We trusted them and did not feel it necessary to crawl under a brand new truck to check flood damage. We trusted Avondale *** about the truck's condition. Since the last report, the truck has started sloshing old, sour water out of the exhaust pipe. Driving it at an incline results in water exiting the exhaust system - more flood water. We will be taking photos and making a complete report. We would like this vehicle towed to Avondale ***, and want to stand WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER, THE GENERAL MANAGER FRANK KUNA during the inspection. I want to be present from beginning to end of the inspection, going over all of the damage to the vehicle. I request MrKuna make us an offer to trade this truck in for another truck, comparable to this one. The starter has now quit working completely. There was a smell of burnt wiring. I would like to have an offer from the General Manager to have them fix the problems that are all under warranty, and to give me an offer to then take this truck as a trade in, on a new truck comparable to this one (same year, features, options, etc.). I need to know what the dealership is willing to do - by way of an offer for me to use this truck as a trade in on a new truck. Thank you. We can have the truck towed on Monday. I would like to have a loaner vehicle while the truck is being repaired. I want an appointment with the service department, scheduled so that I can be present from beginning to end of the inspection, not to start without me. I will plan to arrive before the tow truck arrives with the *** Frontier. *** *** ***

I am disappointed to hear of Ms***’s experience. I have left multiple voicemails and an email to discuss her complaint, but have yet to receive a returned call or email. At this point, we will await a response and hope to have another opportunity at creating a favorable outcome
Sincerely, Tony V*** Service Manager

Mrs. and Mr. [redacted],I can appreciate you want me to put in writing a value on your vehicle before seeing the extent of the damage.  I simply can not do this without an inspection.  As I have communicated to you in previous emails and phone calls, the Frontier has been out of our possession now for over 58 days.  Both of you have gone on record to state the vehicle has been in a flood and has severe water damage.  Our documentation clearly shows it did not leave our dealership in this condition.  As of the time I am writing this email, you have not allowed a [redacted] Dealership to inspect the vehicle. On Friday afternoon (March 16th) I called you from my office with my Service Director, Jan [redacted] present.  I sent you an email confirming everything we talked about.  I have maintained we would not be able to provide you with a trade-in estimate until we examine the vehicle, diagnose what is wrong with it, and see what if any repairs would be covered under warranty. I believe that I continue to handle this situation in a professional manner.  I asked you what your expectations were.  Simply put, you stated in writing and on the phone you bought a flood damaged vehicle and desire a replacement. Our records indicate at the time of transportation delivery, at the time of the Pre Delivery Inspection, and most important, at the time of your sales delivery process, the vehicle was delivered physically and mechanically sound. Sincerely, Frank [redacted]General ManagerAvondale [redacted]
