Re: [redacted] In response to the complaint for service on a Ford Mustang, we were unable to complete the work to the vehicle because of pre-existing damagesThe Customer brought in the mustang to get an oil change and tune upThe customer was advised that they needed a new intake and radiator as wellThe car did not have any waterOnce the job was completed the car engine began making noiseWe asked the customer to return the next day to see if there was a solutionThe customer was under the impression that there may have been a screw left in the engine that was causing the noise and became upsetIn good faith we told the customer that if the problem had been caused by the mechanic, that it would be resolvedThe labor would be free to repair and the customer would pay $for another used engineThe customer agreed and said they would be back a few weeks laterOur shop looked around for an engine as the customer requested and was unable to find a good used one at a reasonable price with a guaranteeThe next solution would be to repair the original engineWe sent the engine to the machine shop to be inspected and the results where clearThere was internal damage to the engine parts as shown in the picturesThere was evidence of overheating for an extended period of time which was the reason the car stopped workingThere was no indication of any screw being left behindThe customer stated they had just purchased the car a couple of weeks earlier and may not have been aware of the condition of the carWe explained to the customer that the mechanic was not at fault and that the shop would still be willing to help the customer with their situation by installing another engine on their car at their expenseThe customer is now more displeased and wants our business to incur the upfront costs of the engineOur company however will not pay for an engine that is not guaranteed to work if purchased used and is non-returnable After receiving so many rude phone calls and disturbances from the customer, we find it difficult to believe they would pay the $for the engine despite the outcomePlease see attached pictures of vehicle in disputePlease let me know if this is the correct address to send our replyThank you [redacted] Leal's Auto Electric [redacted] San Antonio, Texas
