I took a pressure washer in for repair in Oct 2013. It should have been covered under warranty and Lear Unlimited is an authorized dealer. Their communications with me were almost non-existent from the beginning. I had to initiate the majority of the contact. They were not at all forth-coming with information or why my warranty would not cover the repair. Once it was established the warranty wouldn't cover it & I would not pay for the repair, I told them I would come & get it. I was informed at that time there would be a $20 estimate fee. I was not informed of that when I dropped it off. When I told them I was unaware of a fee for that, as well as my unwillingness to pay that fee, she became argumentative. She even threatened to charge storage fees & told me I could not have my pressure washer back if I didn't pay the $20. I can only assume they must really need that $20 or she wouldn't have threatened to keep my pressure washer if I didn't pay it. It was her total lack of communication that allowed this to carry on for 4 months! I was told the manufacturer was supposed to have called me. They didn't, but if I hadn't called them, I wonder how long before I would have known anything. I have no knowledge as to their ability to fix/or repair anything, but I can tell you their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I picked up the pressure washer Feb. 2014. I paid the $20 fee, they did not charge me storage fees. I will never, under any circumstances, for any reason return to this "place of business" & would highly discourage others from doing so. There are lots of places who do not charge this fee, have real customer service skills and all located in a clean, professional looking environment. I can't help but wonder what standards a "business" needs to meet to be an "authorized" warranty service for any given product. Given what I saw there, the standards can't be too stringent.
