on 1/27/ Mr*** originally registered and paid for course OL-Brain Works: Better Teaching with the Brain in Mind on 9/11/14. He selected and registered for the fall term, which concluded in December of 2014. Mr*** contacted Learners Edge on January 17, requesting to retake course OL-free of charge. Mr*** was informed that he had been dropped from the course when he did not complete within the registered term (session). He was also provided clarification of the Learners Edge policy in regards to session dates and incomplete courses. An exception has been made in Mr***’s case, and he has been reregistered into course OL-free of charge. Mr*** has been informed of this and provided the session details. He has accepted this offer and the associated session requirements Learners Edge partners with seven regionally accredited universities and colleges to provide continuing education courses for educators. In doing so, we adhere to the traditional collegiate calendar by offering three sessions per year that correlate with a semester-based schedule. Learners Edge makes every effort to be transparent with our customers in regards to course and session requirements. Customers are provided with notification of session dates throughout our online check-out process, and again at the time of course purchase. Additionally, as each session nears conclusion, all non-completing customers are informed, via phone and email, of the session end-date and requirements for completion If a customer does not complete the course within the registered session, they are dropped from the course, and a course grade is not awarded. They may reregister for the dropped course within one calendar year for a fee of $150. If electing to reregister beyond the year window, regular course pricing applies All correspondence with Mr***, regarding this issue, has been conducted via email and is included in this response. As is detailed in the correspondence below, Mr***’s concerns were responded to in a timely matter, in fact almost always within hours. (Enclosure A) Additionally, per our records, we are providing a few corrections and additions to the Complaint Background details originally provided. (Enclosure B) We are confident this matter has been resolved with Mr***.
