Response taken via phone as follows: The consumer came to an estate sale where a bed was tagged for $500 prior to the start of the sale.  At some point, an unknown person had switched the tag to reflect $50.  The bed was worth $1000.The consumer wanted to purchase the bed and gave a...

representative of the company $50 and said they would return for pickup.  At that point, we discovered the tag was switched and immediately called the consumer to let them know of the error in price and that the tags were switched and to pick up their $50. We told them people switch tags all the time, but never accused them of switching the tag.  The consumer was upset and was told they could purchase the bed for $250 but no less.  They refused and their $50 was returned to them.
