When communication attempts were made by us, they did not return phone callsAfter exhaustive efforts to make communication by phone and email, we received an unprofessional 'personal check' with a list of hand written bogus deductionsTheir percentage deduction was raised, and there was no formal record of sale We were floored, angry and deeply hurt with the pittance dollar amount paid to usThe loss was devastating and the feeling of being taken advantage of by this company was sickening We received a fraction of their low-ball quote that was gleefully given when they came into our home We were quoted into the thousands because we had valuable & desirable antiques (photos available of all pieces) and classic, mint condition furniture piecesLet's just say, the check was missing a "0" at the end This business is run in a fraudulent mannerAs it turns out in researching estate sales businesses, this type of fraud is rampant and commonA more reputable estate company will 'at least' post photos of the sale on their websiteBoth SoCal Estates & Appraisal & Leavey Estate Sales websites do not post photos of any of their salesThey are dishonest con-artistsDo your homework and find a professional company This business appears to be set up to take advantage of elderly people and families at an already difficult time in their livesT

The Revdex.com post reporting bad business by Leavey Esate Sales & Appraisal Services is exactly correct. We experienced the same thing, having items stolen. I have been in contact with three others who have contacted me regarding stolen property from this husband & wife team.

Because of a sudden move, our classic, like new furniture and several outstanding European antiques were put on consignment with this company. Sadly, our real estate agent recommended this fraudulent business, after receiving a flier from them. Always be wary and research any business before hiring. We wish we had done so.

This business is run in a fraudulent manner. As it turns out in researching estate sales businesses, this type of fraud is rampant and common. A more reputable estate company will 'at least' post photos of the sale on their website. Both SoCal Estates & Appraisal & Leavey Estate Sales websites do not post photos of any of their sales. They are dishonest con-artists. Do your homework and find a professional company.

Review: To whom it may concern:I have had a bad experience with [redacted] and his company Southern California Estate Sales and Auctioneer. I would like all consumers to know of my negative experience. I am having an impossible time in resolving the theft of valuable items I entrusted to ** at the beginning of the sale. I have contacted the local policy to file a theft report, the OC District Attorney to have the investigate the business dealing of ** and his company who I believe stole several high value one of a kind antiques.I am writing to learn if there is any other action I can take to hopefully retrieve the stolen items and/or let consumers know not to deal with this company. ** represented himself as a Licensed Estate Sale Auctioneer but come to find out there is no California License?? Any input you have on this issue would be greatly appreciated as I have called ** several times and he will not return my calls.Desired Settlement: There is a need for Ethical Estate Sale companies to help families liquidate the Estate of their loved ones who pass. I believe that businesses are entitled to a fair compensation and agree to the % charged, but theft is not a way to make a profit.
