I have never written a negative Comment on any business in my life, but this place deserves to be out of businessYou owe it to your fellow patrons, and to other towing businesses that are trying to make an honest buck and treat people with respect to NOT support Ledesma towing
As for the bitter detailsI called a few places and found the price of a tow for my Ford Fto be around $70- $(miles from my house to the repair shop.) They offered to do it for $I told them great, come get the truckThe guy showed up on time, had a very easy time hooking up my truck and then just took off without letting me know he was going or without me signing anythingI thought this was odd, but oh wellA ten mile tow took him like an hour and a halfBy this time I was on an appointmentI then get a call from MY repair shop telling me that this guy is asking my repair shop to pay himUNPROFESSIONALIf he had told me he was ready to leave with my truck, I would have had him write me an invoice and pay cashInstead, he is burdening my repair shop with paying the towing billFortunately, they know me and were okay to pay him and put the money on my repair bill however, the owner knew that the price the guy was asking was out of lineHe wanted $That's about 37% above what I had agreed to, and way out of line for this tow as wellHe called me and I told him not to pay him anything more than $I then contacted Ledesma and the same guy I spoke to earlier started to give me a hard timeHe tried every excuse, and every threat to try and get me to go with the $billI was shocked and angered that this guy had all of this at the readyIt immediately occurred to me that he must be very accustomed and comfortable doing this all the time to be THIS at-ease with itHe brought up things like weight, whether or not my truck was a dually,( which it wasn't and he knew it), had to talk to the manager etcI aggressively told him that we negotiated a price of $for the towHe knew exactly what kind of truck it was, and the exact pickup and delivery locationUndeterred, he then started with THREATSStating things in the CA law that allow towing companies to impound my vehicle and keep it until all towing and storage fees are paidUnbelievable! Again, I am certain that he must do this to everyone based on the ease and quickness that he was able to come up with this stuff
I had to call Chula Vista PD and give an accountingI'm not sure whether or not Chula Vista Police forced him to release my vehicle, or whether he just realized that he had nothing to go on, but it took all that for him to release my truck for the negotiated price of $
I expect them to try to refute this as they will undoubtably lose all of there business and advertising dollars from this siteTo prove my case, just call a couple companies and check the price of a mile tow for an F- Non Dually

As for the bitter details... I called a few places and found the price of a tow for my Ford F350 to be around $70- $80. (10 miles from my house to the repair shop.) They offered to do it for $70. I told them great, come get the truck. The guy showed up on time, had a very easy time hooking up my truck and then just took off without letting me know he was going or without me signing anything. I thought this was odd, but oh well. A ten mile tow took him like an hour and a half. By this time I was on an appointment. I then get a call from MY repair shop telling me that this guy is asking my repair shop to pay him. UNPROFESSIONAL. If he had told me he was ready to leave with my truck, I would have had him write me an invoice and pay cash. Instead, he is burdening my repair shop with paying the towing bill. Fortunately, they know me and were okay to pay him and put the money on my repair bill however, the owner knew that the price the guy was asking was out of line. He wanted $110.00. That's about 37% above what I had agreed to, and way out of line for this tow as well. He called me and I told him not to pay him anything more than $70. I then contacted Ledesma and the same guy I spoke to earlier started to give me a hard time. He tried every excuse, and every threat to try and get me to go with the $110 bill. I was shocked and angered that this guy had all of this at the ready. It immediately occurred to me that he must be very accustomed and comfortable doing this all the time to be THIS at-ease with it. He brought up things like weight, whether or not my truck was a dually,( which it wasn't and he knew it), had to talk to the manager etc. I aggressively told him that we negotiated a price of $70 for the tow. He knew exactly what kind of truck it was, and the exact pickup and delivery location. Undeterred, he then started with THREATS. Stating things in the CA law that allow towing companies to impound my vehicle and keep it until all towing and storage fees are paid. Unbelievable! Again, I am certain that he must do this to everyone based on the ease and quickness that he was able to come up with this stuff.

I had to call Chula Vista PD and give an accounting. I'm not sure whether or not Chula Vista Police forced him to release my vehicle, or whether he just realized that he had nothing to go on, but it took all that for him to release my truck for the negotiated price of $70.

I expect them to try to refute this as they will undoubtably lose all of there business and advertising dollars from this site. To prove my case, just call a couple companies and check the price of a 10 mile tow for an F350 - Non Dually.

Review: After specifically notifying [redacted] at Ledesma's Towing (which you pretty can't find, the address given is apparently their old address, and will not give me their new address if there is one) that my car is an AWD (all wheel drive) vehicle, to NOT tow it with the back wheels dragging on the ground, and to use either wheel dollies or a flat bed truck, which I assume they don't even have, he said he would use wheel dollies, and showed up at my residence and did not use them. I informed him that it was a terrible idea, and that my transfer case in my car is more than likely damaged. You can ask pretty much ANY tow company, and they all know NOT to tow awd vehicles like that!!! Such NEGLEGINCE even AFTER I informed him about the vehicle and how it should be towed. My transfer case in my car is now destroyed and needs to be replaced. I contacted [redacted] SEVERAL times over a few weeks to work something out to try and make things easier and cheaper for him. After MULTIPLE attempts, he continued to blow me off and not work something out. I highly caution anyone that see's, uses, hear's about or anything that has to do with Ledesma's. even the body shop that originally worked with them/did business with them has discontinued due to lack of service, communication, responses etc. Apparently there new location is Chula Vista, but no address was given. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY IF YOU COME ACROSS THEM!!!Desired Settlement: I would like for Ledesma's Towing to pay for damages done to my vehicle, never mind all the inconveniences and added interest charges on my credit card to get my vehicle repaired, I even took a less expensive route to try and HELP THEM OUT. My Auto shop is helping me out on labor, only $250 flat charge for the remove/reinstall of the transfer cases, and the rebuild from Jack's Transmissions totaled at $3,484.98 for combined total of $3,734.98. This repair COULD'VE cost them over $6K from dealer.
