Lee Cleaners

Alterations done at Lee Cleaners not done correct, Owner refused to redo at no charge.Last week in June I took 4 items to be altered to Lee Cleaners in the Grand Heights Shopping Plaza on North Harrison Rd. The young women pinned all the items and then wrote down the instructions for the tailor, It took at least 45 minutes to complete this task. The items were picked up on July 8 as promised. I tried the items on July 11 to make sure everything was ok to pack for vacation. Not one of the items were done as directed. I could tell they had been worked on but not to my satisfaction. I was a little upset but I took only one item back on the 13th of July and requested to have it redone and ready to pick up on the 15th she said no problem and seemed very concerned that it was wrong. She wrote on ticket what needed to be done and told me she needed to call her boss to get the price, She said they could do it at a discount of ONLY half price. I asked to speak to owner and he would not take responsibility for the error and insisted he would charge me I told him I should not have to pay for any mistake he would not change his mind and after about 5 minutes I took my item and left. I had paid $69.00 for these alternation and felt like he should have taken care of this one item. Sign at the mirror whenever customers requests their clothes to be altered.-We,our helper, provided the customer's clothes' alteration according to the pinned-up mark at that time.The above ones done as usual. -If we send it to helper, we have to pay. So we replied that customer needs to pay half price instead of regular amount.-Because the wrong svc,customer's description, was responsible for both of customer and Lee Cleaners. We have thought that it's fair.Consumer Response I was surprised to have an answer to my the complaint, but the process he described was not how it was done. The helper pinned the articles of clothing and was having a hard time and said that she was not the tailor. When I gave the ok to her, she then took the pins out and wrote out the direction on the order slip. At this point I would not accept anything other the a refund of my money since I cannot wear any of this items until they are altered.
