I am enclosing additional information regarding my case # [redacted] Today (Jan25, 2017), I received a check from Tansky’s for $for an oil change for which I had paid but was doneTansky’s refuses to pay the amount I quoted you, as they claimed to have installed two filters and diagnosed a computer problemI accept the charges for the filters, but I am certain they did not diagnose the correct problem for the engine warning light staying onIt was off when I left their business, but came back on minutes later The problem was correctly diagnosed on Jan 23rd by Reed’s Auto Care (See enclosures.) The engine light was on because a squirrel had chewed the wires and left a walnut in the engine as its calling cardTansky’s told me it was a computer problem probably caused by dirt and would cost over $I seriously doubt if they examined the engine, as surely they would have seen the gnawed wires and walnut.I will accept the $for the oil change that was not done, but I also request a refund of $for the EGR check that was either done incorrectly or not done at all.Thank you for your prompt attention to this matterPelase leave my cmplaint on file so others may not be swindled by these crooks.Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear [redacted],  I apologize that you had an unpleasant experience resulting from your oil change visit on January 3rd, 2017.I have reviewed your comments with my Service Manager and he explained to you and I that your maintenance lightcame on January 19th, not your oil light.  He explained your maintenance light was not reset during your oil change visitand that is our mistake. I can see how you might think your vehicle was not serviced if that light came on. Rest assured the service was completed. At any visit you may view your vehicle being worked on through the glass viewing windows in the Honda Service Department.  We also replaced your engine air filter and your cabin air filter at that visit and I assure you they are new as well.  Your check engine light issue was checked for a code in the vehicle computer and the codepointed to an issue in the exhaust gas re-circulation circuit. Do to time constraints it was determined that would need to be re-scheduled to check out further.  We can guess the code was set from the chewed wiring that was not scheduled todiagnose. In 52 years of business, our business policy has never been deceptive in sales or service, pure and simple! In the interest of customer satisfaction, I have refunded $112.83 and confirmed by phone that you received it 1/27/17.Thank you for using our service department and I wish you many years of use out of your 2007 Honda. Thanks again,Joseph W[redacted]General Manager
