hired Mr. [redacted] to do work in my home. He requested money up front.work was poorly done, He didnot do the work as was contracted.I called him many times that the work was not being done properly, He refused to refund part of the money back. I had to hire someone else to do the work properlly. His employees also damaged my siding and spilled paint on my driveway which Mr.[redacted] promised to clean and never did.Mr [redacted] has not contacted me to resolve the issues, I did write him a letter for us to meet and try to resove issue.Product_Or_Service: Home ImprovementsDesired SettlementI have had to find someone to do the work, and I have had to borrow moneyfrom my family to do the work, that Mr.[redacted] didnot do right.I feel that I should be refuned in the full amount.I also have pictures of the work before and after Mr. [redacted] employees worked at my house.

Mr Lee Park overcharged me by thousands of dollars. I also had some valuable items stolen from my home. Mr Park charged me approximately 70,000.00 to paint the interior of my home and to put in replacement windows. Taking out $30,000 to cover the cost of the windows, still can't understand why it cost $40,000 to paint the interior of a 5 room ranch home. I am an elderly female who lives alone. I have recently had some additional painting done by a different company and was told that he cheated me. Desired SettlementI feel that it would be fair for Mr Park to refund me $60,000 which would still leave him $30,000 for the replacement windows and the interior painting. WORK = $ 850.00WINDOWS = $15,000.00TOTAL 420,850.00 PAGE 2IN HER COMPLAINT SHE STATED I SHOULD RETURN $60,000.00 TO HER. THIS WOULD BE ALMOST $40,000.00 MORE THAN SHE PAID ME.AS FOR THE VALUABLES SHE SAID WAS STOLEN. FIRST OF SHE NEVER LOCKED HER HOUSE. WHILE SHE HAD US WORKING THERE SHE HAD A PLUMBER, A HEATING + AIR CONDITIONING MEN AND A PEST MAN WHO CAME THREE TIMES A WEEK TO FIND THE SNAKE IN HER ATTIC.THE HOLYOKE POLICE ALSO RE TURNED A STORM WINDOW THAT THEY HAD TAKEN TO GET FINGER PRINTS OFF OF BECAUSE SHE HAD REPORTED HER HOUSE WAS BROKEN INTO.I AM 100% CONVINCED THAT NONE OF OUR EMPLOYEES TOOK ANYTHING.[redacted]OWNER/ CONTRACTOR LEE [redacted] AND SONSConsumer Response Mr. [redacted] has not provided me with receipts or signature of agreement. I am awaiting for my bank to release my cancelled checks for that time period and as soon as I obtain these I will follow up on this matter. However I would like to see my signature on the agreement he said we had and a copy of the receipt for the work done. Mrs. [redacted]. =

On September 19. 2012, a neighbors tree snapped and fell in my yard and landing on my roof. I called Lee [redacted] and Sons Home Improvement since they are located on the street next to me. [redacted] was present when Liberty Mutual Ins. adjusters were here doing an inspection. [redacted] sent me a bill for $350 to do an emergency roof patch. We signed the contract, (see attached), on October 26, 2012 to replace the roof. [redacted] requested $1500 to schedule the work. On Oct. 25, 2012, I gave [redacted] a check for $350 for the emergency patch work and a check for $1000 to schedule the work. He asked me for more money to purchase supplies. On Oct. 26, 2012, I gave [redacted] a check for $250 as he requested. He told me he would get the work started in a few days. I had to keep calling him to get him over here. He always put me off with excuses like he was almost done another job or he said putting a roof on in the cold weather was not a good idea because the shingles would not lay flat. He wanted to wait until spring. I insisted I wanted the work done. I had a large tree on my roof and front yard that had crushed my fence and landscaping. I told [redacted] that I was hiring someone else to remove the tree. I couldn't wait to have it removed. He sent me a bill for $500 for tree removal. The person I hired to remove the tree, [redacted] removed the tree from the roof, cut it up, and hauled away what would fit in his truck. Because it was raining, he was to come the next weekend and clean up the brush. Tree removal was not in our contract. [redacted] told me he was going to strip the roof of the existing shingles and put new ones on. I was charged for disposal of budding materials. (see contract). [redacted] knocked on my door and told me I was in luck because there was only I layer of shingles on the roof so he would be able to put the new shingles over the existing ones, saving me money. He took down my gutters, folded them in three, and put them in 2 trash barrels he brought for disposal of the shingles. [redacted] was also supposed to vent the peak of the roof according to Mass. Building codes. When the work was nearly completed, [redacted] knocked on my door and demanded another $900 to finish the work. He claimed he did the tree work, I was charged for shingle disposal when there was nothing to dispose of. When I refused to give him another $900, he continued to argue and threatened to take me to court. I brought out the contract, he continued to argue with me. When he saw I was not going to five him more money, he said ok and left his workers to finish the, job. They unfolded the gutters and put them back up on the house. The roof peak was not vented. I couldn't believe what I saw. I contacted the attorney generals .office. I was referred to the Mayors Office of Consumer Complaints in Springfield, MA. (See attached), with a copy of the complaint to the Revdex.com. The letter to the Revdex.com was returned to me. I sent it to the address I found online, 293 Bridge St, Springfield, MA. I was contacted by a mediator from the Mayors office. I sent her all the documentation I had. She went back and forth between me and [redacted]. He would not back down and threatened me with court again. I told him I would welcome the opportunity to go to court. I wanted to get a few other contractors to look at the work done. Because4 it had snowed, I had to wait until it warmed up. We had a lot of rain, my gutters were leaking very badly. I had water going down the walls in my cellar.I called Adam Quenneville Roofing and Mr. Home Home Improvement. They showed me that [redacted] lied to me. He put a 3rd layer of shingles over the existing shingles, did not vent the roof according to building codes. None of the work that was in the contract was done. There was no mention of gutter work on the contract. They suggested I contact the Building Inspector in Chicopee to see if there was a Building Permit which there was not. I was given forms by the building inspector to file complaints with the Atty. General, Office of Consumer Affairs and Building Regulations, and the Commonwealth of Mass Dept. of Public Safety Board of Building Regulations and StandardsI am [redacted]; my only income is [redacted]. I don't have the money to take him to small claims court. I contacted an attorney, which I couldn't afford. Now I am asking for your help. Chicopee is doing sewer work in our area so even if I did have the money to fix what he didn't, there is no access to the street. Everything has to be stripped. The contractors couldn't tell me if the hole was patched properly until they remove the existing shingles I have run into [redacted] at Walmart in Chicopee and driving by. I am afraid of any more threats and confrontations. Before I hired [redacted], I checked reviews online and the Revdex.com for complaints. He had good reviews and no complaints were filed. That's why I hired him. Can you please help me. Thank you.Desired SettlementHave the roof repaired
