Customer purchased a bedroom set and accepted delivery in good condition in May A picture of the condition of the footboard in question at the time of delivery is providedAlthough the picture taken during delivery is from further away, there is no appearance of the face of the footboard
being out of place or the drawers not aligning properly as would occur from such damage.When speaking with the customer the claim was made that the damage must have been created by the delivery team and was there the whole timeAfter that claim was refuted they then stated it must have occurred due to stress fractures existing in the joints on the sides of the bed creating damage to the center stile (picture provided) resulting in it being pulled out as shownThe merchandise has been in the home months and, at the customer's admission, the drawers on either side of the affected area were used for clothing indicating a frequent level of use; however the damage pictured was not noticed for the entire duration in the homeBeing that this damage is is in a highly visible, frequently used area the allegation that the damage has been there the entire time is highly suspect In addition, the type of damage shown in the later picture indicates a force placed upon the material pulling it outward to result in the upper part of the fracture pulling past and being outside of the lower part of the fractureDamage of this nature created in the home would invalidate warranty covering the structural integrity of the productThis being the case the customer's request for warranty replacement has been denied

While it is unfortunate that this consumer is experiencing an issue with bed bugs in their home, it was explained during multiple conversations that the issue did not originate from product brought into the home through our servicesBed bugs, although commonly associated with beds, are often found
travelling in high traffic public areas such as buses, restaurant booths, movie theaters, etc The statement that a colony came from either the headboard or the mattress delivered implies that these insects were present within the materials for a significant period of time prior to the delivery into the homeHowever, the mattress delivered into the home was sealed in plastic and opened at the homeThe headboard was newly opened and assembled hours beforehand in the Distribution CenterWere there a presence of bugs in the headboard it would have been identified easily at that timeIn addition, if there were bugs present on the headboard, these insects notoriously will crawl into fabrics and seek out new prey and would have ended up in the moving pads that are used to wrap every piece of merchandise that is opened in the Distribution Center to protect it from damage during transitHad these bugs chosen to migrate into the pads it would then result in an epidemic of this issue following our delivery pathThis being an isolated incident indicates that the origination of the customer's issue occurred elsewhereBeing familiar with the risks of such an epidemic, Furniture Deals maintains routine pest control in all locations as well as in the delivery trucks to minimize any sort of pest issuesWe do sympathize with the circumstance, however, it is not the responsibility of Furniture Deals to account for this issue in the customer's home

purchase AFTER the Revdex.com complaint was filed, and Mr. L** was informed about the complaint by the Revdex.com! Mr. L**'s only goal in contacting me was to get my Revdex.com complaint deleted, and I informed Mr. L** that I would ONLY CLOSE THE COMPLAINT AFTER I RECEIVED A FULL REFUND of the $375.00 I paid Mr. L** on 16 November 2017. I have not received a refund!
