We have researched this case and found that we did in fact complete all paperwork, paid correct postage, and sent request to appropriate agency We do not make decisions on whether or not changes will be made to the death certificate by the state of Mississippi In this case it was
denied by vital records because the original informant on the death certificate was deceased We informed the family member of this decision and let her know that we could redo paperwork when she is able to obtain a court order Lee-Sykes Funeral Home makes no money off of changes or orders of death certificates It is simply done as a service to families we have served Although it is our policy that once monies are sent to the state we can not issue a refund We will however make an exception in this case We want all of our families to be 100% satisfied with our services A check for $will be mailed out today, October 17, via priority mail so that we can confirm receipt of it If we can be of any further service to you or your family please do not hesitate to give us a call

When we received the complaint the needed change to the death certificate was already in process with the state. Since that time we have received the corrected certificate and it was sent out registered mail and was received by Mrs***. We apologized for the length of time it
