Review: Off to a rocky start when they did not have the foresight to think about getting in and out of a residence with the snow. Had to reschedule. Lost days of work. But my real gripe is the quality of sanding on my floors. They had to have used a rough paper to sand or used it and then did not go back to the fine paper to top it off because every time I look at them I find more big sand circles and can see the deep grooves easily. I just get madder and madder. I have even taken pictures. Complained on [redacted] which is where I found them - and nothing, Not to mention this is not a long lasting high gloss finish. This was done in February and already, they need to be done again. This must be water-based which is not what I wanted but there was NO discussion about any of it. Just poor service and poor quality of work done and every day I look at my floors I just get mad. In fact, I guess my bad is that I did not ask what finish they used and he never offered or shared or consulted with me. I am so not happy with my floors and really Angry as now I have to have them redone. Everyone who has come by has wrinkled their nose and asked who did them. I feel like I should get my money back to be honest. They are just poorly done. That is all. And I gave pictures to prove it. Not to mention they only did the top steps and not the board facing out from the steps so I still have to redo those the right way. This was also never discussed with me. I would highly advise to not choose this company if you want long lasting redone floors. Not to mention they left bags of sawdust too heavy for me to pick up in my yard to throw away and sawdust all over my plants and in my flowerbeds and on my steps. They did not clean up after themselves. It looked like a mine field on my lawn when I got home. They do not vaccuum area before they refinish either. Dust was still on the floors as you can see the specs on it under it. Coating was maybe one coating if at all. Floors were still dusty. It's like they came in and out as fast as they could and poof, they were gone. They are worn again so badly now that they have to be re-done. I want my $900 back (and he raised the price on me when they got there - was not original quote) so I can get someone else to re-do my floors. They never even came back out to check the work that had been done or to check in with me on if I was happy or not. No response on [redacted] and he is hard to understand anyway. Tried to blame me for my driveway when they should have communicated and TALKED to me and made better arrangements or had the foresight to do so. That's not my job. I am the customer. So now... I am back to getting my floors re-done in less than a year plus the hotel costs and movers to help me move the furniture which they said they would not do. I am a single mom so this whole thing was a costly hardship and for it to not have been done right is huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: Refund of $900. They should also pay for me for the hotel costs which were $355 so we could let the floors cure before we went back as I explained to them I have three young children and needed to coordinate all this effectively due to school etc. No refund on my wasted time and efforts. But he complained to me about his time due to the driveway and how he does not get reimbursed for that - well - back at you!!!!!!!! Pictures can be sent but I have no desire to talk to them or have them anywhere near my home again and I don't want them doing repairs. If you can help facilitate this, I would be much appreciated. The floors are in bad disrepair now. Water spills seep right through now due to the poor job of sealant or whatever they did. It did not last at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the sanding is ouchy on my feet too. You can feel it under your feet. And see it. No longer a smooth surface and it was not like that before. Horrible sand job.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. We have talked on the phone and he has offered to come out and do the floors again at no charge and that HE will do them personally. While this does not completely solve my problem and at this point, I am not sure there is a completely satisfactory resolution, I am considering his offer. It just creates more headaches, cost, and time for me. I have to once again have movers (as a single mom) come move all the furniture off the floors and rent another hotel room for me and my three kids. It will cost me more money to have him come out and do it again so I want to make sure everyone knows that. Not to mention the inconvenience of it. I am not sure he understands this. It is not a simple thing to just come out and redo floors. I have shared that with him that my frustration is that no one was answering his calls while he was out of the country so my calls were not returned and he or someone never even contacted me or followed up or came to look at the floors to ask me if I was happy. Since I paid up front, and should not have I recognize now, I felt jilted. Why follow up if we have her money? The floors could have been done again right away if my phone calls were taken. I am trying to give him the opportunity to fix this but at the same time, I have to be honest and say that to come out and fix it now really just costs me more money again. So I am out even more money and money I don't have right now but I do appreciate his offer and finally contacting me as I am sure it was hard to do that. I hope Mr. Lee understands this is not personal. This is business. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Mr. Lee showed up when promised for the quote and showed up for the job on time, ready to work. The crew was professional and steadfast in the job they did. I would certainly recommend Mr. Lee's hardwood flooring for refinishing or new installation. The 40 year old floors look great!
