The company contacted me directly via phone to set up time and date for the car to be fixed. I will be taking it...

to them next week, 03/**/2016. As per the copy of the contract, it was mailed to me last week. However, they refused to refund me part of the money taking from me for those days that the car was not fixed. Please, help me negotiate with them in regards to this issue because I deserved some refund. Thanks.

I went in for service on Monday 8/* as my car needed to be serviced because of the issue with the car having a ticking sound, autostart going off on its own, and the back passenger door not opening properly. I told the rep on the phone and again on 8/* that I had the car diagnosed at another shop on 7/** and was told that it was either the alarm or the autostart. On 8/*, I explained the issues to the rep at the service desk and he noted it was probably the battery. I told him the previous mechanic said it wasn't and that it appeared to be the alternator or battery. However, the mechanic checked my car & I was told it was the battery, despite the previous mechanic noting that it was the alarm or auto-start draining the battery. On 8/*, I am driving on the Jackie Robinson with my husband and two children were in the car the alarm starts going off. The alarm continued to sound even when the car turned off the alarm was still ringing. After finally getting the alarm to turn off, we put the key back in the car and not even a minute later, the alarm starts going off again. My husband took the car in on 8/** and was told that there is nothing wrong with the car, the issue is when you don’t properly disengage the alarm, it takes a few minutes and the alarm will go off while you are driving. I explained that we drove from the Bronx to Brooklyn (approximately 40 mins) before the alarm went off. I was then advised that if you hit a pothole or other road interferences it can set the alarm off. My husband called another Toyota dealer because the answers being provided don’t seem to be making sense and my husband was advised that my car alarm should NOT be going off while I drive under any circumstances. My husband was further advised that if the Dealership (Lee’s) used an alarm system that is NOT manufactured by Toyota the alarm will not work properly on the car, which is what causes the alarm to go off.

I also advised the rep that my backdoor does not consistently open (it gets stuck) and it is still an issue. I left toyota on Monday 8/* and by the time I got home, less than 20 mins away I couldn’t get the back passenger door open. In speaking with an assistant manager today 8/** he chuckled at the fact that the door only locks when I have the car as him and my husband. I asked him what he meant by that and he said he didn’t know what to tell me because it was only happening while I had the car.

I also sent an email to the dealership and there was no reply.

Upon calling and speaking with an assistant manager nothing was resolved. The assistant manager was Condescending and appeared to be more interested in justifying why Toyota looking at my car was a courtesy and not dealing with the fact that the alarm going off randomly while driving is an issue.

Review: I made a purchase of a car on may this year,on the mention car dealership,I went with my boyfriend ,we agree on the car and the price cand the down payment, witch in this case was a 1000 dollars, I sign some paper work to check my credit to see how much interest rate was going to be,it was 1.9,,I don't know much about buying car,but I know about numbers,I recall that the salesperson from the begging coutes a monthly payment of 394 a month,at the moment since te be a bit hight, but at the moment with the exigent of getting a almost new car,and he since to be so sincere and he asure us that everything was in order and done right I did not inquire much,he gaves a bill of sale saying how much we were going to pay for the car,the amount of downpayment, and payments,,I pay him for the plates,so I had to wait for the plates to arrive at the dealership,so I can take with me,sowhen we did actually reacived the car we got to see the paper work, the contract and find out all the thing they or the sales person added to the purchase of the car without my knowledge or consent,I did not sgg for all those others products witch are very expense,I sign some paper electronically for then to check my credit and see how much the loan of the car was going to cost me,but some how instead I check the contract and it see ins that I sign over the contract, but in the contract you can actually see that the signature was overlap or usse the same signature that I did on the computer, but noir on paper, they just use the signature from the computer and put it on the contract, and later fill on the blank what ever they wanted, basically,,im bio lawyer for for any reasonable person should amount to fraud,we went back to the dealer and try to correct the problem, made me sign a paper where they say the problem was going to be corrected.on the next payment,it being 6 months already and nothing being done,I had to go back to the dealer and speak with the manager client relation and sing the papers again, the say thAT ALL those other then will be taken out of the contract, but tah I will still have to continue paying the original amount that they make the calculation ,witch is 394,and thats unfair ,cause if they wouldn't have make the mistake on the begging my payment would be so hight it would be much less like 100 dollars less, they say even though the amount is less the payment is going to continue to be the same and thats not right, and provably illegsl please, what you can do to correct this in juste way of conducting business and correct the payment to what it was supost to be originally, thanks for your prompt attention to this matterDesired Settlement: correction of the right amount of the payment, that was supost to be much less if they did not ,in bad fate ,commit this orendous error,I did not expected this kind sales person to be working for such a good company I expect a correction of the payments, and a reprement to the salesperson that try or inded pull a fast one on a customer,I hope this is not the morn for toyota sale men to do business, and if it is a correction is in order, thanks aging for your attention

Review: I purchased a vehicle from Lee's Motors on Aug **. They added a $2500 maintenance option to my contract which was never discussed before and I didn't notice it. When I called and emailed them they refused to remove it from the contract. The purchase is very recent and this is completely unfair. I only wanted to pay the vehicle purchase price which was 12,000 (plus reasonable title etc fees). This constitutes misleading and deceiving a consumer that's acting in good faith and it is unacceptable to not remedy such a predatory way of stealing from a customer and not caring about them. I would never buy anything there again and I will stay out of the way of this dealership for good.Desired Settlement: Refund of $3000 or removal of the unwanted maintenance service.

Review: I have leased cars with Lee's Toyota now for close to 9 years. The most recent lease was less than 1 year ago. I was thinking about turning in my then car but was over mileage & wasnt prepared to handle it at the time. I went into the dealership to look around to see what the prices were. The sales person was very nice & worked out a great deal. He told me & my husband "not to worry - we would work out the details". I was not prepared to re-lease at that time, however, the sales person told me that it would be ok & that they would work it out. We went on to re-lease for a 3rd lease. Several months later I received a bill for excessive mileage & wear & tear on the vehicle. When I spoke to the sales person about the bill he asked me to fax it in to him. I did not hear back from him and assumed that he was going to take care of the bill. Then I received a letter from Toyota Credit & a bill from [redacted] (a collection agency). I called Lee's toyota's sales person again & he said to send him the bill once again. He called me & told me that there was nothing that they could do. I then spoke with [redacted], the [redacted], who is NOT very helpful & he indicated that they could not do anything.Desired Settlement: I feel that since I've been a loyal customer of Lee's toyota & have NEVER been late or ever missed a payment in 3 leases that they should take care of this bill. It's for $2,000. I feel that they mislead me so that I would re-lease with them when I knew I wasnt ready. They They made false promises that they did not honor. I will never use Lee's toyota again nor will I recommend the dealership to anyone.

Review: I used Lee's Toyota for me first lease of a 2011 Camry. When it was time for me to return my vehicle I went in to Lee's to inquire of the process and what needed to be completed. When I asked for my original salesman [redacted], I was told he was not there. I was told that I could speak with anyone and was directed to [redacted]. [redacted] encouraged my husband and I to take advantage of the current promotions and get into a new lease sooner rather than later. I explained to [redacted] that I was not going to sign a new lease unless the price per month stayed at 275 or lower. [redacted] worked the number and was able to keep the price fairly low. At the time of the agreement, [redacted] told me if I signed the new lease they would waive the last payment of my current lease so the new deal could happen. We were also encouraged to sign sooner rather than later because the March promotional prices were ending and my last payment was coming due. My husband and I agreed and we moved forward. On the day we went to pick up the vehicle everything was messed up. The documents were incomplete, things that were stated by [redacted] was not there and he was no where to be found. I expressed my frustration and annoyance with everything and the **, [redacted], came to speak with my husband and I. He explained the things we questioned, went over some of the things we questioned and assured us he would take care of everything. He offered to waive the excessive wear and tear if there were any as a result of the experience that we had. I kept expressing my reluctance with moving forward and not knowing that everything was resolved. He stated to me, "if you receive any bill from Toyota Financial, bring it to me and I'll take care of it. A few months later, I get a letter from Toyota Financial regarding debt collection in the amount of $734.45. I was not sure what the payment was for; so I did exactly as I was advised and brought the letter to [redacted]. [redacted] told me he would handle it and not to worry. Almost a month goes by and I think everything is resolved. I go in to the dealership to find nothing was done; they didn't even still have the letter. [redacted] asked me to email him the letter and he would take it from there. I emailed several times; I even sent a letter expressing my concern and disbelief at how poor the customer service was; still no response. Now, everytime I called I was told [redacted] was in a meeting, out to lunch or had left for the day. One time I called and I was so upset, I refused to get off the phone until I spoke with a [redacted], or someone covering in [redacted]'s place. I was then transferred to [redacted]. I explained to him the story. He said he vaguely heard about what was going on. He said he went into [redacted]'s email and could see the email that I had sent. He assured me he would look into it and call me back. He never did. I then got a call from [redacted] informing me that my account had been sent to collections. I was furiousm I called the dealership because I was on vacation and could not get to the dealership. I asked for [redacted] but of course he could not come to the phone. I was then transferred to [redacted], who restated that they had done all they needed to do on their end; it was nothing left for him to do. The representative from [redacted] then started explaining the necessary forms that would have been completed if they did infact process the waivers as he stated they did. [redacted] stated he was unsure about the paperwork and would check with [redacted] and call her back. He never did. According to the representative from [redacted], she made several attempts to follow-up and no one would speak with her or return her calls. I then went over to the office today, October [redacted] to speak with [redacted] in person. Now [redacted] stated that the saleman is no longer with Lee's Toyota and he never wrote anywhere that they agreed to handle the last payment of my old lease. However, I reiterated that it was definitely a part of the agreement. I would have just went through my last month on the lease and started a new lease after if I still needed to make that payment. It was definitely offered and now that they have me locked in to a lease and alreadt received their commission off of my lease, they're throwing me to the side. This is so disheartening as a customer. I have no one to turn to and I feel like I was taken advantage of. I asked all the questions I could possible think to ask. However, I did not know that anything regarding the old agreement needed to be listed on the new agreement and the salesman failed me by not including it. This was the only reason I went into the new lease early. [redacted] has offered to waive the excessive wear and tear; however, only after I make the last payment. Its not fair because that was not what we agreed on.Desired Settlement: I would like Lee's Toyota to handle the balances they promised to handle. Which totals $734.45 for the last payment and the excessive wear and tear.

I made an appointment at Lee's Toyota to get a spare remote unlock key made for my car. I was initially quoted a price of $176. Upon arriving at Lee's, I was informed that my key, that I had used not 5 minutes earlier to lock my car when I arrived for my appointment did not work, and that they would need to "reset the system". They then quoted me a new total price of $350. After confirming with them that it would be a sum total of $350, I told them to proceed with the system reset. After they had completed the reset, they informed me that it would be $350, plus $176, plus labor, after specifically quoting a total of $350. I informed them that that was unacceptable, and they basically told me that since they had already done the system reset, my existing key no longer worked, and that unless I paid them, I would have no way of opening or turning on my car.

As if that wasn't enough, after I agreed to their ridiculous demands, the new key they gave me had an uncut ket inside it - the remote unlock fob usually contains a traditional key to unlock vehicle in case the fob stops working. The new key they provided me was blank.

About $600 later, I am left with one working fob, from them, and one working key from my original fob. This is exactly what I had when I started out. On top of all that, the appointment was scheduled for 11AM, and I left around 3PM. I am left genuinely wondering whether they are actively trying to scam people, or if they are just colossally incompetent.

Review: The Toyota dealer emailed me pricing and assured me they had a vehicle, when I arrived they didn't have a vehicle and they claimed they made a mistake with the pricingDesired Settlement: vehicle at price quoted

Response:

False advertising, I did not purchase the vehicle because of the price change. They also misled me on the vehicle being there for me to see.

Thank you for your assistance

Response:

THIS WAS NOT AN ADVERTISED VEHICLE IT WAS AN INCOMING CALL AND VEHICLE PRICED OUT OVER THE PHONE THE MISUNDERSTANDING CAME WHEN PHONE CONSULTANT PICED OUT A BASE MODEL INSTEAD OF AN EXTRA CAB. WHEN CUSTOMER CAME IN AND SAW SALES CONSULTANT AND FURTHER WENT OVER OPTIONS DISCOVERED IT WAS A DIFFERENT VEH. CUSTOMER LEFT DISSATISFIED OVER A HONEST MISTAKE TOYOTA MAKES MANY DIFFERENT MODELS AND IT IS EASY TO PRICE OUT INCORRECTLY. THAT IS WHY IT IS NESSASSARY TO COMPARE ALL OPTIONS BEFORE ORDER IS CONFIRMED AND APPROVED BY BOTH PARTIES.

Review: When I purchased the vehicle the battery had a dead cell and did not start shortly after a couple of month. Then the next month while I was on the road traveling I had a blow out of the on of the new tires. When the care was put on the lift we found out that the tires were ware down to the steel belt. When I called the dealership they told me that the problem was due to the road. OK, I can understand one bad tire ,but two noway. So I proceed to purchase 2 brand new tires at cost and had them balanced. While this was being done I call the dealer where the care was purchased and they said that the only thing they would cover is the battery. I called Toyota corporate and logged a complaint the dealer lied their own corporate customer service and stated to them that I had been payed for the battery but not the tires. Now I find out that there is a large problem with ties placed on the rear end are continually be ware down to the steel belt. This was the orginally I broth to there attention and they just refused to do any thing about it and keep pawning it off as the road causing the problem. Which is not the case from the beginning.Desired Settlement: Repair of the problem that persist and reimbursement of tires, battery, and alignment cost and if the alignment does not fix this problem Then I want a new replacement Vehicle

Review: In November 2012, I turned in a leased Toyota Camry as part of a purchase transaction of a 2012 Toyota Prius. The terms of the transaction were as follows: Purchase/Financing of 2012 Toyota Prius by myself and settlement of any amounts owed on the leased Toyota Camry by the Dealership. The Dealership took possession of the Camry and I took possession of the Prius. In the months that followed (up to and through July 2013), I have been contacted by collection agencies regarding amounts owed on the leased Toyota Camry which the Dealership took possession of. Throughout this time I made several calls to the Dealership explaining the collection calls and their lack of honoring our agreement regarding their payment of any amounts owed on the leased Camry. The Dealership ensured me that they would pay any balances owed on the leased Toyota Camry. The total balance has not been paid 9 months after the purchase/trade-in transaction with the Dealership and I continue to get calls from collection agencies. I am afraid the Dealership's lack of attention to this matter has affected my credit rating.Desired Settlement: I would like the Dealership to pay any amounts owed on the leased Camry which I turned in to them as part of the purchase transaction of the 2012 Toyota Prius and provide me proof of such payment. I would also like for them to contact the major credit agencies and any involved collection agencies explaining that the lack of payment is due to their lack of compliance with their agreement with me as part of the trade-in purchase transaction and clear me of any and all debts related to the leased Camry and clear me of any negative affects their negligence has had on my credit history and rating. I would like proof of such communication.
