LeFever Property Services

I contracted LeFever Property Services for a kitchen remodel. I was invoiced $5,155.75 specifically for electrical services provided by a subcontractor, Live Electric. I received the final invoice on 9/25 and paid shortly thereafter. On January 30th I received a letter from Live Electric's lawyer stating they were never paid by LeFever and they were placing a lien on our property. In this letter, they also acknowledged that we did pay LeFever.

After discussing with LeFever they said they wouldn't pay for one specific item on the invoice from Live - $513 for living room lighting. I ended up paying for this again in order to get the lien removed from my property.

Timeline:
8/14/2019 LeFever gets Lives invoice including living room lights for $513 (Letter from CGA_2.pdf)

9/25/2019 - I get an invoice from LeFever and I questioned it. I was told it was for Living room lights (Final_EletricanInvoice.pdf & Email_Final_Invoice.pdf)

2/3/2020 - LeFever tells me they won't pay Live for the Living Room Lighting because he said Live Electric over billed him (the same invoice he used to create my final invoice). I agreed to pay Live Electric the $513 directly and LeFever would pay the rest of their invoice. I did this to get the lien off my property.

From my point of view, I paid for the same item twice in order to remove a lien from my home.
