I am being charged for not giving a 60-day move out notice on a 2 month lease and was charged for replacing carpet that was being remodeled anyway. I signed a 2 month lease on 6/29/15 that was to end on 8/28/15. I moved out on 8/8/15 after paying the full rent amount ($1901.53) for August. They are now charging me $2392.90 for not fulfilling a 60-day notice move out policy when the lease itself was 60 days! They are also charging me $10 to replace drip pans that are not damagedI was also charged $1000 to replace the carpet on a previous unit that I resided in for 2 years. I paid that amount on 7/6/15. I later discovered that the entire unit was being remodeled and the carpet was being replaced anyway. Additionally, [redacted] the assistant manager, accused me several times by letter of having my dog off leash, going so far as to threaten to have her removed from the property. The dog he was referring to wasn't even my dog and no apology was offered.Desired SettlementI would like no further contact from Legacy Farm Apartments or [redacted] regarding these charges. However, if possible, I would like a refund for the carpet I paid to have replaced on the previous unit. Business Response We have waived the insufficient notice fees as well as for the drip pans bringing the resident's current balance to $0. Regarding the carpet replacement in the previous unit, carpet replacement is not actually part of the renovation scope & was only replaced due to the resident's pet damage. Therefore, we will not be able to refund that amount. However with the current balance being $0, we will not need to contact the resident any further which is the consumer's desired resolution.
