Legacy at Meridian

I reserved the guest apartment at this apartment complex for the weekends of February 13 to 17, 2014 and May 7 to 11, 2014 for $95 per night. I made this reservation verbally with the assistant manager, [redacted] on Monday, October 14 as we were checking out of the guest apartment. I received an email from Mr. [redacted] on October 17 informing me that the guest apartment was not available for the weekend of February 13 to 17 but I was confirmed for the weekend of May 7 to 11.Subsequently, I received an email from the manager, [redacted] on November 4, 2013 informing me that I would need to check out of the guest apartment on May 10, 2014. I responded that was not acceptable and that I had confirmation for May 7 to 11. While this certainly made me very unhappy, I determined I could make a reservation at a nearby hotel for Saturday, May 10th for two rooms for about $260. I need two rooms as my parents will be joining us for this weekend to see our daughter graduate from Grad School. I told [redacted] I wanted her company to take responsibility for their mistake by adjusting the price of their guest apartment from $380 for four nights to $120 so the total cost of my 4-night stay would still be $380 ($120 + $260).[redacted] told me she would have to speak with her manager and get back to me. Subsequently, she called me and said her company would not provide such an adjustment. I was just out of luck. I told [redacted] this was extremely unprofessional.This is a very poor business practice and needs to be changed. I can understand that someone made a mistake with the reservation system. I believe I am being accomodating by agreeing to move to a different accomodation for the last night of my stay. I just shouldn't have to pay extra for thier mistake.Desired SettlementI want Legacy at Meridian to accept $120 for three nights' stay in their guest apartment from May 7 to 10, 2014.Business Response Legacy at Meridian prides ourselves on our customer service.We offer one Guest Suite on our property to accommodate our residents and or family for our residents. The consumers request is for a week in June of 2014. The accommodation request was taken and by accident the dates were not cross referenced completely and the last day of his request was booked previously. We would like to make this situation right and not leave anyone with a bad taste in there mouth.At this time we will accommodate your request in the amount you suggested. Though you have expressed your experience through the Revdex.com you are still requesting to stay with us in itself communicates that we have something special.
