RE: Legacy Classic 481-4900C Rails - Consumer [redacted]
First and foremost, we are grateful that Ms. [redacted] and her daughter did not sustain injuries; and regardless of the circumstances, do not...

want our consumers to have anything but a positive experience with our product.
To further explain our position:
We have sold over 48,000 sets (96,000 rails) of this particular rail during the past 12 years. During this period, requests for replacements and/or quality complaints have been well within industry standards.
We do extensive testing on all rails and mattress support systems in our line, and have included the Standard Test Report of the bed in question that includes the 481-4204, as well as a copy of the assembly instructions.
We have also included our correspondence with Ms. [redacted], including a photograph of the damaged rail.
Our assembly instructions, shipped with each bed, clearly state: "If you are going to move the bed, the bed has to be disassembled before moving." It has been our experience over the 12 years we have produced youth beds that this type of damage to rails is caused by moving the bed without first disassembling, as clearly explained in our instructions.
In conclusion, we believe the damage to the bed rail was caused by the customer not following the assembly instructions on how the bed should be moved to avoid rail damage, and not faulty rail construction. Therefore, we believe Ms. [redacted]'s report on the subject bed rails should not be published on the Revdex.com web-site.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me.
