Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/12/23) */
Legacy Design-Build has provided the homeowner with a full Lien ReleaseWe have contacted the subcontractors and suppliers involved with this project but due to the timing of the holidays we have not received all of them back to provide
to the homeownerWe have not heard from the homeowner since our initial closing regarding this issueThe customer has a valid Lien on their project
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/12/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Legacy was asked for lien releases on 10/12/
Legacy replied "Sounds goodI'll send out for then"
As per contract lien releases are to be provided in days, it has been over days
Final Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2016/01/19) */
The homeowner has been provided with a copy of the complete Lien release per MN lawWe at the request of the customer also provide individual lien releasesAs mentioned in the previous answer we did indeed send out the Lien releases so we could provide them to the customerThis is above the MN statutes required by contractorsIt is unfortunate that the homeowner feels that they need to resort to this level when they have a full legal Lien release for their project
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 23, 2016/02/02) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Lien ReleaseUpon final payment Legacy Design-Build will issue a complete Lien Release for said contract listing Legacy Design-Build and all Sub-contractors/suppliers used on this projectIndividual Lien Releases will be provided upon request within days of final payment
Above is item #on page of our contract with LegacyWe have not received any lien releases from the subs or suppliersYes, we received a lien release from Legacy showing we paid LegacyAccording to MN law, if Legacy does not pay subs or suppliers they can put a lien on our property
Legacy's contract states Legacy is to provide lien releases within days, it has been over days nowThis is Unfortunate that Legacy is not honoring there contract
