After the showing, we received tenant applications from Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted]. The application includes language allowing us to verify and obtain reports regarding their rental history: By typing "1agree" below, Icertify that the answers are correct and that I/We have accurately completed this application. I/We authorize Deckard Homes and Apartments to conduct an employment/credit check and to..obtain any other reports necessary concerning me/us as deemed necessary concerning my/our application and to verify all reference. I/We understand that such reports may include and are not limited to my credit history, civil and criminal infonnatiQn, arrest records, rental history, employment and financial history, vehicle records, licensing records, and any other infonnation deemed necessary. I/We declare that all information listed inthis application is true and accurate. Both Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] indicated they agreed to the above language. Although our office obtains authorization to conduct credit checks, no credit report was run for Ms. [redacted] or Ms. [redacted]. As such, the decision to deny Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted]'s application was not based on a credit report. The decision to deny Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] was based on damages reported by a rental reference, which was conducted internally, and not by an outside company. The decision to deny Ms. [redacted] and Ms. [redacted] was likewise conducted internally, and not by an outside company. ...⇄ · We disagree with much of the recounting of our interactions with the complaining parties, and do not believe we have done anything wrong.
