Revdex.comThis is in response to the concern raised by [redacted] concerning the vehicle service contract she purchased when she purchased her 2013 Nissan Altima from Herb Gordon Nissan on 3/4/2015.   At the time the vehicle was purchased there were 18,808 miles on the...

odometer.  The service contract term selected by [redacted] was 4 years or 48,000 from the date and odometer reading at the time of purchase.  Therefore, the contract would expire at the earlier of 3/4/2019 or 66,808 miles.  The vehicle was bought to our shop on March 8, 2017 with 70,736 miles and was therefore out of warranty due to the mileage of the vehicle.  Please see the attached scanned copies of the Service Contract and the page from the contract document which explains the coverage term.[redacted] also addressed replacement of brake pads, replacement of brake rotors and repair of a door handle in her complaint to Revdex.com.  The brake pads and rotors are maintenance items not covered by the service contract.  We offered to repair the door handle for [redacted] at no charge if she purchased the services for the maintenance items (brake pads and rotors).  [redacted] declined to have the maintenance items performed.[redacted] is requesting we take care of a number of items under warranty; however, the warranty has expired due to the mileage of the vehicle as described above. If there are any further questions, please feel free to contact the undersigned.Sincerely,Dennis T[redacted]Division President

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: When I purchased the vehicle I was told that the Extended Warranty would start when the Nissan warranty was up. Why would I pay for a Extended Warranty if it ran at the same time as the warranty that was still remaining on the vehicle. A Extended Warranty is an extension of the coverage period on a standard warranty. With an extended warranty, the consumer is able to extend the time that the producer is liable to pay for covered incidents. Consumers are often given the option to include the additional coverage either at the time of purchase or when the standard warranty is approaching its end date not to run at the same time as the manufacturer warranty. As I was told by the general manager that it was probably coded wrong when it was entered.
Regards,
[redacted]

we sincerely regret that [redacted] is unhappy with our dealership.   The customer visited us on July 10, 2017. This vehicle was out of warranty and we advocated on the customer's behalf to have the repairs covered by [redacted] at no cost to the customer.  As the customer...

described, the sunroof repair was made timely.  The radio unit needed to be sent out and it was explained to the customer at that time that the repair was expected to take 6 weeks which the customer agreed to.  Our service director left a voicemail for the customer around the middle of August stating the repair was going to take a couple more weeks.  Our service advisor called her on 8/29 and left a voicemail also.  Neither voicemail was returned by the customer.  This complaint was received yesterday and we had a shipped status on the radio showing it should arrive today.  The part arrived today and our service manager left a voicemail for the customer today stating that the part has arrived.

RE:  Revdex.com complaint #[redacted] from [redacted]We have investigated the customer's complaint including reviewing security cameras and we deny the customer's accusation that anyone at our dealership replaced the wheels and tires that were on her car when she bought it in with a different set of...

wheels.   Sincerely,Dennis L. T[redacted]Division President
