We received a letter dated September 8, from the Revdex.com, regarding your hospitalvisit April 6,
Your concern to Legacy states that "Legacy did not do their paperwork correctly causing my insurancecompany to deny the claimNow they are bugging me to pay
the whole bill when it's their fault!"We received a referral from DrHarpreet *** * D*** with Columbia View Family HealthIt is theresponsibility of the referring provider's office to obtain an authorization for services neededLegacy issimply the facility providing the requested service and billing the insurance that is provided to us by thepatient.I spoke with *** *** who is the referral coordinator at DrD***'s office and she stated she wasunaware that an authorization was needed for this serviceI contacted Blue Cross and provided Ms.*** with the number she needs to call to try and obtain a retro-authorization for your services on4/6/2016.For Legacy's charges, your insurance company is denying a certain amount due to no authorizationobtained by DrD***'s officeWe have done our part to ensure that the testing requested by Dr.D***'s office was completed in the manner consistent with the referral submitted.If DrD***'s office is unable to obtain a retro-authorization, please know we have options for repaymentthat do include financial assistance if this debt poses a hardship for youTo discuss theseoptions please contact Legacy's Customer Service Department at 503-413-4048.If you have additional questions regarding the charges related to this account please contact me directlyand I can assist you (503) 413-3947.Sincerely,Michelle R***Manager of Customer Service & CollectionsLegacy Patient Business Services

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Sincerely,[redacted] I also contacted Dr. D[redacted]'s office and spoke to Karen. She said that all they do is complete a form and send it to Legacy. I saw the form being filled out at the receptionist's deck while I was standing right there. I was also contacted by Anthem and they said that Legacy failed to file the proper paper work. I also called Legacy several months back and asked them to correct this problem so they know exactly what the problem was for months now! They have been dragging their feet and now the time for contesting this with my insurance is almost over. They've know for a long time, but now they act all surprised by the whole thing.
