In response to this complaint, we here at Legacy Roofing have done everything in our control to work with [redacted].
I have spoke to Mr. [redacted] numerous of times after communications between the salesmen Troy and Mr. [redacted] had became
unpleasant and out of the ordinary....
Mr. [redacted] was adamant about knowing the exact start date of the roof. At that time I told Mr.
[redacted] to refer back to the conversation that had taking place at the signing of the contract, that we where about two an a half to three
months out on our scheduling for his job. This is do to the fact that his fathers roof is a very large and unique roofing system that takes a
lot of planning and coordination on our part. Unfortunately in the time frame of the scheduling of Mr. [redacted] roof the try-state area was
struck with a series of bad weather that had pushed our scheduling back a significant amount of time. This applies to everyone that had a
roof contracted for us to build. It states on the back of the contract that Mr. [redacted] signed, on line item # 10 The company shall not be liable for
failure of performance, due to labor controversies, strikes, fires, weather, inability to obtain materials from usual sources, or any other circumstances
beyond the control of the company whether of a similar or dissimilar nature. With that being said, we went into the winter months in which the bad weather
was record-breaking, as one of the worst winters since 1977. The materials that Mr. [redacted] picked out we where enable to obtain from our regular local suppliers.
The materials have to come out of Canada. I'm very beside myself that Mr. [redacted] would make the allegations that he has made against me as well as me company of
theft, after all that my salesmen Troy did, for him and his family. Troy worked very hard and did lots of investigating to work with the insurance company on this
claim do to the fact that the roofing system was discontinued That Mr. [redacted] originally had in place. We then argued our case to the insurance company and was
successful in getting Mr. [redacted] what he was entitled, which case was a significant upgrade. I spoke to Mr. [redacted]s sister, just a week ago for the first time in which she
informed me that she was the power of attorney over her father, and that I would be communicating through her from this point on. We plain on going fourth with the
roof as soon as we get back on schedule. Also we have work orders and receipts totaling close to $5000 for work already completed time and materials.
