Legacy Roofing & Construction Reviews (%countItem)

Kaylen E is a poor business man. Do not trust anything he tells you. He does not have a roofing contractors license in the county of Denver which is required for roofers.
He didn't pull a permit and have it on the property before work was started. The work performed was very poor workmanship.
We allowed him to start the roof because he said he would bring the permit the same day. He did not bring the permit and had not pulled one. He showed up two days later without a permit and demanded payment. He stated he would tear off the roof he he was not paid. He was paid in full for services rendered and is now demanding an additional $6,794.11.
We had to hire another contractor to fix the shoddy work that was done.

This is now the 2nd reroof we have done for Don and Barbara F. The original adjuster amount was around 12K before any building code upgrades. Legacy's office negotiated the claim with Farmers insurance to bring the claim to code requiring a redeck / a sheathing layover because of old space board. That brought the claim to about 16K. We were only paid the first portion for the reroof of 8k. Don and Barbara have not paid for services rendered and pocketed a whole 6700 off of a work on a claim that Legacy completed. The 6K bill has gone to collection and liens have been placed on their property until the balance gets paid with interest and fees. Balance is due in full Mr. F. Please call and schedule a payment arrangement.

I had Legacy replace a rubber roof in preparation for solar panels. They were super responsive, did great fast work, and were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I also called them when I had a small leak in a different part of the roof (where they didn't replace it). They came out right away and were able to caulk around some pipes to prevent future leaks.

It was a pleasure to work with you. Thank you for the business

Made everything easy for me and my family! I had visited my parents last month and noticed dark-brown spots on their ceiling throughout the house. I contacted Legacy Roofing and Construction. They were very efficient with their consultation services. The contractor was on time and very professional. He quickly identified the source of the leak and inspected the rest of the roof. The next day a representative called me and give me a free quote in repairing the roof. I wanted to give my parents a special gift before I left, thank you to the team!

thanks for the great review. Was a pleasure working with you

Legacy Roofing & Construction is great. They are professionals and their work is incredible and completed in a timely manner. They keep open communication with you, in making the process as smooth as remodeling can get. They were clear in what the process would entail, which made for an easy project, when dealing with scheduling and coordination. Everyone I came in contact with at this company was genuine. They know how to do customer service! This company truly takes pride in what they do, and I would definitely use them again for any future home renovations

very please with the outcome of your addition. You've been a great customer and your ideas are priceless. Thanks for the review

Terrible customer service. The owner Kaylen *** is full of lies and only out to get as much money from customers as possible. Does not provide estimates or full contracts. Does not follow through with agreements. It took a year to complete my roof and gutters. The permit was not pulled before work began. The only reason he pulled a permit was so he could get the remainder of the money he wanted. The numbers always seem to be in his favor and he has a difficult time keeping track of agreements that are made to discount specific prices in order to work with the customer. Only called or contacted us when he was sure I would hand over money. He knows how to go around best practices in order to garner as big of a payment up front as possible. Then he disappears for months at a time leaving his business to be run by others, but when he returns he does not honor previous agreements. Sounds apologetic when necessary, but overall poor business practices are continued. Uses this site as a way to boost his business when in fact there are many complaints against him. I would never recommend this company to anyone looking for contracting services.

My issue basically comes down to a breech of contract issue in which I and Kaylen E of Legacy Roofing and Construction agreed to a price to cover a number of hail damage repairs, including the replacement of my roof. Mr. E found cause to file a supplement with the insurance company to cover 'undiscovered or incomplete' shortfalls in the original insurance claim. We agreed that whether the insurance company was going to cover the supplement or not, he would complete the agreed to list of fixes for price A. We further agreed that if insurance accepted the supplements, I would pay price B. Price B ended up being the agreed to amount after determining what the insurance company was willing to pay. However, the following actions and behaviors were exhibited by Mr. E:
1. Delayed start to the project of 3 mos., even after taking a down payment of half the original cost.
2. Requiring payments be made out to him (rather than his company), because he was a 'cash' company. Found out later this was because he has absolutely no credit with any of his suppliers, he has judgments against him, he probably used the funds to pay other contractors on other jobs and possibly hide income from the IRS
3. Exterior painting was carried out twice by extremely inexperienced crews. The painting still must be redone, per community association guidelines.
4. Clean up was never done, or if it was, was done so poorly that I had to gather up three bags of blown debris and nails. I continually find nails to this day, and they are a health hazard should anyone step on one or the lawn mower throws one at someone unknowingly.
5. At one point Mr E just stated that he wasn't going to do any more work and that he wanted the remainder of his payment, or threaten putting a lien on my house, which he did. There were still approx. $3000 of items that he did not perform and were the basis of contention.
6. After agreeing to settle for $1700, and signing a settlement document, a final invoice and final check, he still hasn't released the lien after two months.
After reviewing Mr. E' online profile, it was evident that I made a grave mistake in contracting with this individual. His MO is to stop work in the middle of the project and to ask for more money or threaten to put a lien on the clients' house. I have experienced the same brow beating and threats first hand. This complaint is very similar to other complaints and reviews that have been filed against Mr. E. He no doubt feels he has been the victim, but can so many experiencing the same problems be so wrong?

RECEIVE A MINIMUM OF $ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED OFF ANY SERVICE WHEN MENTION PROMO CODE "***". CALL TODAY ;)

Yes! ***, You are correct. There is an original adjuster scope of work that stated 29K. Then, because of building code items that Legacy Roofing has to abide by in order to pass your permit with the County. We had to "supplement" the claim. The additional 13K in proceeds that LEGACY obtained from SafeCo for supplemental coverage was not for you to keep. Read your contract, If supplemental billing is required to bring the claim to code", Then that is the contractors money. Not Yours! You don't get to pay the original adjuster scope price that was less than they were paying on that deal too! The bottomline here is you are upset that Legacy Agreed and Voluntarily Allowed you to keep half of the supplement money of 13K. Meaning you put in your pocket after Legacy does all the work a total of $7,500.00. Greedy? Selfish? ***, Look at the man in the mirror who just ran off with thousands in insurance money and is mad about it. You wanted to keep all 13K in supplement money? Are you really putting a bad review for you making more money on your project than the company that actually performed the work did? Insurance Companies are paying to restore your home to original condition before the storm, not to provide proceeds with the intention of defrauding and making it your personal Payday! We have a 15K lien against your property because that is the amount of money dedicated towards doing the work we did. Sorry Mr., Balance is due in full:) Pay your bill, we remove the lien.

50% OFF YOUR INSURANCE SCOPE WHEN MENTION PROMO CODE, " ***"! CALL TODAY

Mr. ***,

You know very well what our agreement was at your kitchen table. Please stop being dishonest to the public when it's you that made over 13K for Legacy performing all of your insurance scope. We do not agree to do your reroof at 29K, then spend the time and energy negotiating the claim to an additional 13K so you can put that money in your pocket. That's the "supplement" process and that's Legacys job to perform the work correctly per code. I would suggest hiring counsel with the 13K you made to make sure the court of law can dictate who breached this agreement. The terms are in black and white on all four corners with your signature, but more importantly, your word! Honesty and Integrity are the foundation of handling your complaint. And it will all come out in the rinse. Now, Pay Your Bill!

Revdex.com:

I would like to reject the offer of Arbitration for complaint ID. I feel all the items that are in disagreement would not be addressed, nor does my counsel recommend, as he feels confident in three different lawsuits against Legacy Roofing and Mr. E.

Regardless of this path forward, what is Revdex.com going to do with respect to the business's Revdex.com rating? Again, based on this and past complaints, this business cannot retain an A+ rating. If it does then Revdex.com is a useless vehicle for people to find recommended businesses that they can trust.

Sincerely
