I recently purchased a stainless steel barreled rifle action, the product that I did recieve was a carbon steel barreled action that was coated with a stainless steel colored paint, legacy sports web sight lists the item in question as being stainless steel, and not as a paint coated item. I have a saved sceen shot of their web sight and will foward if requested tooProduct_Or_Service: howa 1500 srainless steel barreled action heavy baOrder_Number: naAccount_Number: naDesired SettlementI ordered a stainless steel barreled action, and that is what I expected, and I would like the item that I was lead to believe that I paid for, if not currently advaliable, I would also accept a full refund.Final Consumer Response

Bought new shotgun and it was missing bolt assembly. Called and was promised it would take 3 weeks. It is now 5+ weeks and no updates.I bought a [redacted]) and it came out of the box with no bolt assembly. Short story, couldn't return it so I ended up calling Hatsan and got directed to Legacy Sports and spoke to a blacksmith there. If that wasn't bad enough, it was not covered under warranty since they obviously think I just want free parts or am making up the story. I send in my shotgun and the blacksmith promises 3 weeks turn around since "he has the parts in front of him"(claim at the time). Plus I'm a paying customer and it is not warranty work. Anyway, it's now 5 weeks and they are saying that it's going to take another couple more weeks if not more. Rep claims that they are waiting on a shipment of parts and don't know when it will arrive. NOTE: During the entire ongoing process I have not received any emails/calls or updates. It's like I threw my shotgun into a black hole. Desired SettlementI do not feel like I need to pay for a part that was already missing when I bought the shotgun. I was promised 3 weeks and it has been 5 weeks and since I am a PAYING customer, why wait 5+ weeks to order my part? I am a PAYING customer, thus the service should be prompt and the part should have been ordered 5 weeks ago.Unacceptable. I would like the shotgun repaired at their expense for the horrible customer service and false turn around time claims. Ruined many of my planned shooting range events. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: 775-828-0555Contact Email: [redacted]To whom it may concern: In regards to [redacted] complaint. Based on his complaint the bolt assembly was missing is impossible. This shotgun was sold to Big 5 and all the guns we sell to Big 5 are assembled by us before ever shipping the product. If the bolt assembly was missing it would have been caught by our assemblers. Currently we are waiting for another bolt assembly from the factory so we can return his shotgun. The fee will be $100.00 for a replacement bolt. If I can be of any further assistance please us know! Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted],I spoke to [redacted] on the phone and was told he had the part and it would be $100 total for the part/testing/shipping. He also explained that since I was a paying customer, the repair would only take "3 weeks" vs the "warranty" customers (typically take 4-8 weeks). I then agreed and I shipped my shotgun. The shotgun arrived January 17th, 2014 (I also called your company and it was confirmed at 2pm that it arrived). Tracking #:[redacted]Today is March 9th, 2014 and I have not heard anything or received email updates about the progress of the repair. It's 4 weeks past the projected deadline. Please put yourself in my shoes and then you will truly know how I feel.I expect a better resolution if it is possible. I don't mind paying the $100, I just want my shotgun repaired and shipped out to me by the end of next week.Thank you,[redacted] Final Business Response When we received the gun back from [redacted] it was discovered that he purchased it used gun and was missing a bolt assembly. After fitting the bolt assembly is when it became apparent that this was a used gun and someone had tampered with gas piston and piston housing. We are currently waiting on a piston housing from the factory. This has been addressed and will be repaired as soon as the part arrives.
