case (under $10,000)Ms*** was given a free initial consultation, at which point she was informed, as all potential clients are during their free initial consultation, of thingsWe prepare legal documents onlyWe are not attorneys and do not give legal advice, including what to do or not to do involving a caseWe quoted her our price 0f $which would include the preparation of a SC-Declaration and SC-Proof of Service legal formsWe included at no extra charge to Ms***, a service of the papers to the defendant (which we normally charge $for), as well as sent a paralegal to the court to file her papers (another $fee)We did this as a service to Ms*** as she openly claimed she was without much money.All papers were approved by the court and Ms*** was given a date for appearance to present her small claims caseOur job was finished. days prior to her court appearance, Ms*** called our office and demanded that we prepare multiple subpoenas for her upcoming case, and do it for freeSubpoenas are not usually requested in a small claims due to their expensive costMultiple forms must be submitted for the courts approval, and if approved, must be served to the person receiving the subpoenaOur fee is $per subpoena and they must be performed with sufficient time prior to a court date (certainly more than days prior is necessary)Subpoena's are never offered as a part of the $small claims filingMs*** believes that she paid for a small claims case no matter what it takes.
