I finally got my Offer in Compliance accepted after almost 2 years of working with Legal Tax Defense. It was a long and stressful process but at the end, I was able to save over $20,000 in back taxes. They were also able to quickly release a garnishment which helped tremendously and communicate my situation to the IRS. I'd recommend Legal Tax Defense.

For additional service(s) in your case i.e re-submission of your oic/oic appeal/tax prep for additional years etc. additional fees are obviously required. Like some people, it's normal to be skeptical about a company like this. I'll be the first and definitely not the last to say that Legal Tax Defense was great in their services. After the preliminary business, they wasted no time in handling business. I'll never forget getting the phone call stating that all I owed was $400. My balance for the IRS was close to $30,000, and I didn't see a light in that cloud. Thanks to LTD I can go through with things in my life that I've always wanted to do, but couldn't because of that tax lien hovering over me!

Legal tax defense is great and they worked very hard to get me good results. They were very helpful in getting me through this mess I had gotten myself into... They put a stop to my wages that were being garnished. I will refer them to anyone in need of help with there taxes.
Evasive and deceptive when asked what the total is for their service.
They contacted me to tell me they could help me with IRS Fresh Start Program and told me the process. I asked the cost as I am in a very limited budget and my husband was not working. *** replied $500 up front and then it could cost $***-$*** or so and they would have a payment plan and we could pay what we could and they would work with us and we could pay maybe like $100 per month. I pay him $400 which he agreed to start process and I filled out forms for them to get my transcripts from the IRS. He comes back a few days later that we do qualify for the program and he wanted and additional $*** plus and wanted 30% down which is impossible they he said 15% of the 30% which I still did not have, and the rest had to be paid in 9 months. Had he told me upfront I would have not engaged in business or spent $400 I don't have. I was very clear about my finances and he knew I could barely come up with $400 much less over $. Very deceptive in their charges when they should already know the cost. If they were honest and upfront I would not be making this complaint.
Refund me the $400 I paid as they did not do anything to earn it.

They did not address my complaint of bait and switch/ they gave me a price a lot less than $*** to address my case with the IRS. The IRS does not charge to send out the information on their reply, in fact we can do that ourselves and send to them. My complaint is that they are deceiving me and I am sure others. Especially when I told them my financial situation. They need to be upfront and should not have to collect any money up front until they can give you a firm price for your case. Now I understand why their contract state you cannot cancel the credit card payment because they know they will keep it and not do anything for you but provide information that is free from the IRS. They are an unscrupulous company. I want my refund!
Our firm is unable to provide any type of future outcome prior to the irs correspondence(tax investigation). We are unable to diagnose or quote the taxpayer a future outcome with out first speaking with the irs. This is the reason the tax payer hired us for a tax investigation first. A bait and switch would only hold ground if we had originally provided a outcome and then switched it down the road, that is NOT the case
I can't even describe how stressed and worried I was before making the call to legal tax defense. I had received a letter to my house and work from the IRS stating that the next step would be wage garnishment....I did some online research and chose LTD ..and for once, I chose wisely! They were helpful right off the bat and I write this now 6months in and I'll be the first to loudly shout that I'm just two payments away from being debt free. The tax attorneys here know how to get the best oic possible from the IRS and kept them off my back!
