HiI'm sorry that I didn't see this sooner as I have always been in contact with ***She is correct that her car didn't pass inspection for emissionsIt took a bit longer than anticipated to get the correct vacuum canister that we had hoped would resolve the emissions issueThere are so many
different models of *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***The first canister was not the correct oneI then ordered again directly from *** *** based on the vehicle identification numberIt was installed and I had no idea it didn't pass inspection as we just put it in last weekAs for the hood latch issue ***'s boyfriend did call me last Saturday, I immediately called *** and asked her to explain how it was brokenI asked this question because she had been driving for several days without incidentWhen she picked up her car she actually drove to Fall River and the hood stayed closedThat said I still offered to repair the latch but explained that I would have to have my mechanic see what the actual problem was so I could then get the correct part and install itI told her I would make it a priority but she couldn't tell me when she could bring it because of her work scheduleHer car has been back twice for service and I have given her a loaner vehicle at no cost to useAll that I have asked is to bring the vehicle back to me so that I can resolve the problemI will do whatever it takes to make it right for ***That said I will not have her boyfriend who did not purchase the vehicle, accuse me of not replacing a part, yell at me and use profane language in a phone callI have NEVER in five years refused to repair a car for a customer even if I was not required to by lawI totally understand this IS my responsibility to have her car pass MA State InspectionI am open days a week and as soon as the car is here I will find the problem and make the repairs immediatelyIn closing I take my customer service very, very seriouslyI do not allow anyone else in my company to handle customer complaintsI do my best to service my vehicles before delivery but unfortunately check engine lights etcdo come back on after a repair and the car has been driven through a cycleIt could be another issue unrelated to the initial oneCars that are ten years old clearly require more work than a newer vehicleIn closing I stand behind EVERY vehicle I sellI purchase through *** United Warranty a 3month/3000mile warranty covering engine transmission, AWD and seals and gaskets on every car I sell and they can have the repairs done anywhere of their choosingUnfortunatlythe repairs required are not covered under this Powertrain Warranty Please call me directly @ *** if you have any further questionsI will also be happy to provide proof of receipts for the partsI will have the repairs done immediately but I will not be providing a loaner carThis complaint is an insult to my level of customer service.Thank you** ***
