that it would never cross my mind to complain about bad service at a restaurant to the Revdex.com!Regardless of how the complaint was aired, I take every opinion, comment or complaint very seriously.  It's how we improve and fix our mistakes.  I spoke with Ms. [redacted] on the telephone and feel that we had an excellent conversation.  She has been to my restaurant many times and I expressed my appreciation to her.  I explained to her that we can only get better at what we do if our guests let us know the good and the not so good!Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  I assume you will speak with Ms. [redacted] to confirm that we have reached an amicable resolution.Regards,[redacted]Owner[redacted]James Street Gastropub & Speakeasy[redacted]  [redacted]

Review: As a northside resident for over 20 years, it had been a pleasure supporting my local family-owned restaurant for many years. While the food is mediocre, the atmosphere has always been pretty pleasant, and the bands they bring in are nice. After my last visit a few weeks ago however, I will NEVER be returning. My boyfriend and I had decided to grab lunch at James Street. We walked in and waited a little over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge we walked through the door and sit us. (The restaurant was not busy at all mind you). Finally, someone decided to seat us. We put in our order for appetizers and entrees and then waited. and waited. and waited. It was clear the waitress forgot about our appetizers as we waited for 20 minutes and food was still not brought out to us. Our water cups were also empty. When we thought our waitress was on her way to apologize for the delay with the food and asked if we needed anything, she passed right by our table and assisted every. other. single. table in the section. We were completely appalled. My boyfriend asked to speak to a manager who simply just said " I can box your food up for you" and offered no apology until we mentioned "writing a review".Desired Settlement: Ultimately I would love to see new management.A simple honest apology however would be nice. I also would like to see that waitress reprimanded.
