LEGENDS REALTY located in lake mary fl -Called this company, asked to see a property that was times my income, (relocating from California is not a easy task, I also was under the impression that the JOB of a property management company was to put qualified tenants in a home,) imagine my surprise when, MISS [redacted] informed me that I could not view this home because of a 3rd party policy that is state LAW, she also proceeded to inform me that a $rent is a big commitment for rent,unaware to her, my current home cost per month and if I qualified for that home then this one should not be a problem, I tried explaining to this lady that I too am a homeowner and I understand the perspective from both tenant & landlord so the qualification process is familiar to me, the agent still insisted on giving me other reasons why the home was not suitable for me, this CONVERSATION was had via conference call along with myself, my husband , my aunt, also MY CALIFORNIA PROPERTY BROKER, we were all left feeling completely humiliated & DISCRIMINATED against by your company's rep [redacted] and that is why all that was privy to the conversation decided to report legends & Miss ***'s conduct and we will be pursuing what other legal actions can be taken, thank you so much for a easy transition to FLORIDA, LEGENDS REALTY the transition it seems like it will he a EASY ONE

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use this company services, for these reasons: 1) They are the most dishonest , disrespectful leasing company ever, they have no regards for their clients whatsoever 2)They ask for large security deposit, so at the end of your lease they will forge all kind expenses to keep all the money It doesn't matter if you take really good care of the property, protect it as if it was your ownTina, will make sure she keeps all the security deposit If you are a tenant now, my advice: Make sure you live enough damages , so your money will be use to fix something real Do it! or you will regret it My apologies goes to the home ownersYou have chosen the wrong company to manage your property

I have been renting a home thru this agency for over a year now.I find the staff attentive and very friendlyI have had issues with my bank causing my payments to be declined and they were incredibly helpfulThank you guy so much!

Maintenance issues so far have been quick and painless, except when they need to contact the home owner, who probably like me is not a landlord by choice but by necessity.I know any tenant/landlord relationship is difficult for tenants.Being in both roles, both as homeowner/landlord for my home up north and a tenant down here in FLI have a unique perspectiveI just wish I could have a property management company as wonderful as this one representing me up north

This was the worst two years of my lifeLegends reality literally stole 1000$ from meAt the end of my rental agreement they tried to charge me 700$ for paint the great thing is their maintainer is who invoiced the billHa! I beg anyone to never never work with them you are better off being homelessIf I could go back in time I would've never signed that stupid agreement!!!

To state that Legends is the worst leasing company ever, might have been true a decade ago, but the current renters market seems to be inspiring all kinds of unethical behaviorI give them star (mostly for taking my deposit for a home I left in times better condition than they left to us, but in reality if they have a house you want you have to deal with them, or some other evil, unless you are really lucky these daysSo get what info you can from "my book below" and just count it as the cost of doing business these days unfortunately if you are rentingThe following review is a very good reason to look into buying your own home
I rented my property on *** in October (ended lease in October 2016)My move in check list had about items including multiple references to dirty old stained carpet, a very poor paint job throughout, massive German cockroach infestation and a disgusting bathtub that had been peeling for yearsThe house was so filthy it took my wife and cleaning lady full days of scrubbing every corner to make it livableIt was really hard to even get them to fix a broken lock on the back door so anyone could just walk into the house the 1st couple weeksTo note later I was forced to actually pay for the carpet and paint after moving out or face a lengthy complaint process which in the end could have ended up with me paying moreI've rented about 10+ places the last years and this was by far the most disgusting mess I have ever had to deal withWhat's crazy is the home was only years old and has been neglected worse than 50+ year old apartments I've rented
So throughout my renting I found that Legends would not fix most issues, and my list of 50+ from the move in was never addressed in the years despite about emails about the bathtub and multiple work ordersThe owner had a home warranty and we had to use that forking out $in advance for repairs which would eventually be taken off the rent in 1-months depending on whether legends responded to my 1st email or 5thThe AC/heat never worked properly and electric averaged about $monthWe had about calls on the AC/heat but eventually just bought extra fans and portable heater/AC to compensate for the problem (approx$800)Legends offered to spray for the cockroach infestation but any exterminator knows that a massive infestation will only move if spraying, and anything short of a long term baiting process or bombing the house would failIt took our exterminator about trips and months in which we cleaned up about 100s of dead cockroach bodies and finally had a clean houseI've never experienced anything so horrible in my 20+ years as a renterThe fridge was another ongoing problem where the warranty would temporarily fix it but we basically had to live in a home with ruined tub, broken fridge, and HVAC the entire yearsOther issues were weed invested yard, no screens on the windows, AC flooding the house and garage (which for future residents requires tickets for the AC and another to drain the water)
Upon move out I checked found hidden *** reviews (not sure how legends accomplished this) but the common theme is that they will make up anything to take your security deposit and despite cleaning the home immaculately professionally cleaning the old dirty stained carpets (which we were told needed to be replaced (see our move in list in the beginning)) fixing many of the broken things in the house that were broken when we moved in (caulking bathrooms & kitchen, replaced faucet (*$150) killed cockroach infestation ($550),fixed some of the paint issues, and I think after the 4th service call (a month before leaving) with the help of a good *** tech we actually finally fixed the fridgeThe yard was professionally maintained and watered which helped me kill about 50% of the weeds so at least it was mostly grass and crabgrass instead of dirt and weeds
To their defense again I think the entire rental community is going down the tubes, so despite me and many others (check legends Revdex.com, google and especially *** (note you have to "not currently recommended reviews" to see how many people had horrible experiences)NOTE: They seem to be using some of the money they garner from lessee security deposits to clean up their online reputation, I would not believe the reviews on*** see *** on thatThey also have a lot of positive reviews for buying and selling property and this review has no opinion on that, they could be good realtors but not so much in the property management area
Know going in that A) you are most likely going to lose some or all of your security deposit no matter what you do, add this to your negotiating if you canB) Legends will nickel and dime you to death with fees, our dog died and we wanted a replacement (ok $200ish) I wanted to add my gf to the lease (ok $300ish)They do math in their favor like charging me for a prorated days in a day month (even after I pointed it out)They even charged me an extra $a month on my lease for who knows for the 2nd year after agreeing to only raising $as in the original contract (I didn't even bother to bring that up after the prorating issue)C) They will fix things if you can sue them over it (like AC and back door not working) but I was batting about 30% on the cosmetic issues, they did fix some and I'm not sure if the homeowner was the primary reason but having disgusting peeling bathtub for years really sucked and was embarrassing when we had guests (I usually let them use the master we cleaned and caulked ourselves)Again our owner of our property really didn't care much about the property and elected not to fix a hail damaged roof (like 60% of our 200+ neighbors in June 2015) so maybe Legends didn't make all the choices but as they were responsible for renting and taking part of my security deposit for fixing their mess I have to say they certainly didn't help
Thank god we OWN a nice house NOW, and all these problems are in the pastI had a great case to fight legends for my $400+ charged to fix items that were broken when we moved in ($carpet, $paint, (a toilet seat and towel bar that we didn't notice were broken initially) and some mighty expensive feesBut like the lesson in the movie "A Bronx Tale", it's easier to simply pay $400+ not to ever have to deal with Legends again than let them cause me any more stressI hope no one else has issues like we did, but at least if you read this far you have been warned:)

After doing property management for my property since 2006. Legends Realty listed and sold my home. It was a great experience! It was fast, swift and my sales process moved forward very fast, got an all cash buyer within a couple weeks of posting and property closed. Very happy with Dan's experience and responsiveness in the process.

This company are the most unprofessional realty company I have ever did business with. I rented a home in Lake Mary FL from July 2015 to July 2016 the home. You are not allowed to be present at the move out inspection and they refuse to give you any information about the move out inspection and just tells you to wait until you get a certified letter in the mail with the findings. They charge fees I have never heard of in my entire 7 years of renting and even charge for the certified postage they chose to use in sending your move inspection information. The only thing they work hard on is trying their best to keep your security deposit. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. The only thing I am grateful to Legends Realty is they pushed us to never rent again by becoming home owners and stop making companies like these rich.

My overall experience with Dan was phenomenal. He has a solid understanding of the local real estate market and how to meet and exceed the needs of his clients. I have the pleasure of working with Dan on two separate occasions during the rental process and sale of my investment property in Lake Mary. I would highly recommend Dan to any buyer/seller in the Orlando market place.
