After the original quote this email was exchange:
Hi ***,
I also forgot to add in a line for the removal of the paver stepping stones - that would be included in the price of the quote thoughRiver stone would be nice in that area - I would put geo textile fabric down - it is better than any other weed control fabric & will help re-direct moisture as wellI would put a couple stepping pavers in there as well as a path between the driveway and the stairwayRough idea without measurements would be $150-$You would only need approximately ton of river stone, maybe a little bit more so ti isn't a bad jobSorry I thought I put on the last email that I was still thinking of an idea for the front landscape and the window well - that was my mistakeI will have the window well estimate to you within the next couple daysThanks again,
Jeff

Great quote! I am waiting for one bid to come inFor that front area what do you think about river stone? What kind of expense would I be looking at. Also, you didn't mention the window wellDid we talk about that? Thank you very much!
And this email:

Sounds great! To clarify, when you say front and left side, will you also be doing the right side of the house? I need it done in sections so that while the front is being done, they have access to the back and while the back is done they will have access to the front and one side of the house closest to the street (they don't venture to the other side)Also, will you need access to water? Let me know as I will need to find out which spigot works outside as there are numerous but doubt they all work.Thank you!
On 5-I directed two of my employees to take tons of topsoil, grass seed, and straw to Mrs***s propertyThey were to remove the paver stones as requested in the email above, cover that area and the bare sports on the front right of her property with topsoil and grass seedThe plan, as requested by Mrs***, was to seed the front than the back so that her dogs had a place to go that was not dirt/mudWhich was agreed to by me, which we followed her instructions
On Friday the 27th our office manager / telephone receptionist received a phone call from Mrs***s daughter, *** stated that the job just wasn't right, she didn't know what was wrong entirely but it just didn't seem rightIt didn't look like topsoil was put down, it was not what they were expectingTaffy told *** she would check with me and call her back which she didI informed Taffy to let her know that topsoil was put down along with grass seed and that this was only the first trip to the propertyWe would be doing the back of the property and touching up on any small details (areas that did not grow in, etc) in the front yard upon the return trip*** and Mrs*** did not agree with this, which I am still unsure as to why, and demanded to speak to me and no one elseI agreed with Mrs*** that I should have responded to her personally in a more timely manner, but she was not left in the dark and avoided by any meansI have employees whom sole job in my company is to handle customer serviceThey are there for complaints, estimates, and general questionsI pay them for this job because unfortunately as the owner I can't always be available to speak to all of our clientsTaffy spoke to *** and Mrs*** over Memorial Day weekend, left messages for Mrs*** on her answering system as well about the issue in an attempt to resolveTaffy explained to both *** and Mrs*** that this was only the first service - the first half of the yard - that we were not completed.
On 6/I drove out to Mrs***s property to see what exactly was wrong with the serviceAfter seeing the property did not understand, at all, what the problem wasTopsoil was spread neatly, grass seed seems to be mixed in with the soil, and straw was placed over the soilOn 6/me and of my employees were performing services in Mrs***s areaWe drove past and noticed that all of the grass on the right side of the house and where the pavers were removed (the only work directed for my employees to perform) was nice and grown in and looking rather wellMrs***s email on 6/states that she planted grass herself and that is what we saw growingI then wrote the letter attached to Mrs*** and explained that grass does not grow that fastAlong with the attached letter is communications via email with Mrs***
At this point, I feel Mrs*** is wrong in stating we did nothing, the only thing she was not happy with was not being able to talk to me directly when she wanted toI am more than willing to waive the $invoice - Which I think I will do regardless of the outcome of the complaint just to avoid further confrontation with Mrs***I am just curious to see what the Revdex.com decision isNo money was collected upfront from Mrs***I have attached a bill from Maple Brook nurses for the ton of topsoil we purchased for her yard specifically along with the strawI have employees along with my self that can verify what was completed at Mrs***s along with the dates and the grass we saw growing on 6/Taffy is not available however as she passed away on June 20th
I did send Mrs*** an updated invoice that did not include the backyard, had a communication frustration discount percentage, and was only for the topsoil grass seed and straw that we put in her front yardI myself along with Taffy tried to explain that all we did that day was put tons of topsoil in the front right side of the yard and we would be more than willing to fix what she was not happy with but she was unwilling because of communication with myself directly - she did not want to speak with anyone else at my companyWe have a very high customer satisfaction rating and I just do not appreciate someone slandering my company saying we did not perform services when we intact didI do not know what Mrs*** or her daughter think topsoil looks like but that is what was purchased and spread on her property

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and am satisfied with his decision to waive the bill he provided to me.  I do not agree with the information that he provided: names are incorrect, dates are incorrect, and information is incorrect.  As a (small) business owner, he should be available to his clients to answer questions, concerns, or comments as they occur.  Jeff was available to us when he was trying to obtain our business, but he NEVER called us or responded to us in any fashion except when I informed him via email that I was terminating services with his company, and even then he responded by email.  He believes I am slandering his company's name, but I do not believe my valid complaint is slander.  My experience with his company has been horrible.  I want NO FURTHER correspondence with Lego Services, Jeff L[redacted] or anyone associated with this company, except for a complete acknowledgement of the invoice being rescinded and considered void.

Review: On April 19, 2016, I acknowledged that I would use Lego Services for lawn care to grow grass on a property I recently purchased. Initially, Jeff was very prompt in returning my emails/calls. After accepting the quote, which was never signed by either of us, he acknowledged via email that there were other services that he would be providing that he would need to get back to me on. I emailed Jeff on several occurrences and placed phone calls to ask questions about dates, other services, access to water, etc., prior to the start of work, but he never returned my emails or phone calls.

Jeff emailed me that they would start service on April 29, 2016. No one came that day or contacted us. We emailed Jeff on April 20th for clarification about what service they were doing and if they needed access to water, but never received a response. On May 5th I emailed Jeff again explaining that I had called earlier in the week due to no response, and Taffy at the office said Jeff would get back to me. On May 8th, Taffy emailed us to say Jeff would be there on May 9th and they were only a day behind. On May 9th, no one showed up or called us. On May 12th I emailed Taffy and asked for an update because no one came or called us. Taffy responded and said we were on the new schedule for May 14th. They did not show up or call on May 14th.

On May 19, I was out of state as my brother unexpected passed away and I was attending his funeral. I received a call that day from the individual who was dog-sitting for me who stated that there were people on my property completing work. I had no prior knowledge that anyone would be on my property. I had requested a call back from Jeff before any work was completed on my property, but never received a response from him or his company.

On May 20th, after looking at the work that was completed upon my return home, I was extremely dissatisfied with the work that was completed and took pictures. There were areas that had no soil put down, areas with soil but no seed, areas with seed but no straw, the ground was not watered and looked that it had been half completed. We had discussed doing the yard in 2 sections, but there were spots that were not even touched in the areas he “completed.” I became ill after returning from the funeral and my daughter called Lego services on my behalf to request an immediate call from Jeff about the lawn. Taffy assured her that she would get back to us ASAP. My daughter then received a phone call back almost immediately from Taffy telling her that the work was completed exactly as it needed to be, was telling us we were wrong, and that Jeff was extremely busy working and had a life and couldn’t call her. My daughter explained that we were paying for a service that we were completely dissatisfied with and requested a call back from Jeff ASAP. My daughter, nor I, have ever received a phone call to date from Jeff.

Due to all of the above, I decided to terminate service with Lego Services. I emailed Jeff directly on May 25 and explained that I was terminating services with his company due to complete lack of communication, work that was not completed according to what we discussed and substandard work that was done while I was out of town. It wasn’t until he received my Termination of Services email that he responded to me after all of the time that had elapsed. He responded within 24 hours via email and cc’d Taffy stating that he had driven past my house at 1:30 a.m. and didn’t see anything wrong with the yard.

Taffy called me on June 9th to say that Jeff drove past my property and said to remove the straw that was down. I explained to Taffy that I completely redid the lawn, I put down grass seed I purchased, I put down straw that I had purchased and I watered it. The grass that was growing on the property was grass that I had personally planted. Taffy agreed with me completely that she would also be dissatisfied with the work that was completed on our property and that Jeff had had personal problems that resulted in the poor communication (ie: loss of a cell phone, relationship issues, employee issues etc.) I explained that he was business owner who NEVER contacted a customer and in no way attempted to rectify the situation. Taffy said that Jeff was afraid to call us because he knew we were upset with the service.

On June 10th, I emailed Jeff and Taffy and explained that as a follow-up to our conversation, I was not interested in their company completed working on my property. There was a complete lack of communication, good service or customer service and I was not going to continue with their company. To date, Jeff Lego has NEVER contacted me by phone or in any way tried to make this situation right. I have spent my time and energy fixing the work that he alleges his company completed. He was not there when the work was completed and has not tried to speak to me to fix the problem.

On July 14th, I received a bill in the mail for “services” rendered. In the letter he says that because of my concerns he is setting policies in place to remedy an issue but says “based on your [my] email and everything I have read about your complaint in the notes log I have decided not to void the total work order invoice.”

Lego Services did nothing for me or my property and is now demanded payment for services that I completed.Desired Settlement: The business did not provide the services I agreed to pay for and sent me a bill for "services" that I was unaware were being completed while I was out of state, were not completed to my satisfaction, and that the owner essentially refused to speak with me regarding. From the letter I received from him July 14th, it sounds as if he was not planning to bill me, but decided he didn't like the information I presented him with. I do NOT believe I should have to pay for the shoddy work that was completed. I would like the bill to be rescinded and to not receive any further communication from Jeff L[redacted] or Lego Services.
