On July 14-we had a fence installedAfter the crew completed the job, we discovered surface damage on our month old new drivewayWe contacted the owner who came to look at the one area that was first discoveredHe instructed us to get an estimate for the repair and forward it to himHe also asked if we had planned to seal the driveway, and he was told that we had no plans since it was a brand new drivewayThere were other areas on the driveway that at first we thought were dirt or debris, and since it hadn't rained for a long time we figured it would wash off eventuallyOnce the rains came, we then discovered that there were multiple areas of damage that were not just dirt but were gouges and deep scuffsWe contacted the driveway installer for an estimate per the fence company owner's instructionsHe gave us an estimate of $500, stating that in order for the driveway to be returned to its previous pristine condition, the damaged areas would need to be repaired and the entire driveway would need to be sealed, otherwise it would have patched areas easily visible which would not return it to its previous condition prior to the fence installationI took the written estimate to the owner, who became very angry, accused us of trying to get him to pay to have our driveway sealedHe said he would not pay it, told me to take the estimate into the office, got into his truck and literally peeled out of the gravel lot spewing gravel toward meI honestly stood there agape, unable to believe what he had just said and doneI took the estimate into the office, told the office worker what had happened, she said she would take care of itIt has been two weeks and we have heard absolutely nothingSo not only did this company damage our driveway in multiple areas, it refuses to make reparations for the damage they caused, has ignored our follestimate, has falsely accused us of trying to commit fraud in having him pay to have our driveway sealed, saying we had already planned to have it sealed in the fall which was not true, and displayed a temper tantrum worthy of a childWe are thoroughly disgusted with this company and would advise anyone thinking of hiring them to get other estimates and consider their behavior that we have had the misfortune to endure
