Review: My family went to the car dealership in response to a mailer indicating our winning numbers would result in a prize. We were escorted to a table by a salesman. We were advised he could help us. He indicated he was there to liquidate inventory on used cars. We listened to his "sales pitch". Before we knew it, we were on the lot looking at cars. We were not going to buy a car, but, once we began looking we were lured into his sucker punch. We answered his questions pertaining to budget, terms and likes and dislikes and began negotiating on a specific car. I advised him that we had to leave the dealership by a certain time to attend our sons baseball game. Next we knew, our maximum price was set and the deal was being made. We wanted to talk numbers, get a ballpark of where we were at and return on Monday with a clear head. We were told we had to make the deal and take the car home with us on Saturday because they wanted to liquidate the lot and like fools we fell for the pitch. My wife went ahead and headed to the game. I stayed behind and signed the papers. I was not informed of the details of the loan until after I signed the papers. Now , to our dismay, we have grossly overpaid for the car. The salesman informed us the car originally sold for $34,000.00. We were unaware of the $23,900.00 selling price until the papers were signed. After a little research that evening, we found out the car should have sold between 18,000-19,300.00. We were scammed! We returned to the dealer Monday evening to speak to a manager. We explained the entire issue to him. He took notes and advised us he would need to pass the info on to a daytime manager who had the authority to authorize a solution. We explained we are looking to have them rewrite the deal with an acceptable "fair" offer or let the deal stand and offer us additional products for the car totaling $4,000.00 which is approximately the amount they over-charged us. As of this date, they are only willing to offer us a credit of $600-$800.00 toward a product for the car.Desired Settlement: We want them to stand good for the amount of $4,000.00 they over-charged us.

Review: On Saturday 8/31/2013, I purchased a maroon 2007 Ford Focus from the dealership. After purchasing the vehicle, I notcied that the paint was scratched up, mostly on the right side of the vehicle. I contacted the dealership later in the week and was told to come back on Saturday 9/7/13 and they would take a look at it. When I got there, I spoke to [redacted], a sales consultant with the dealership. He had someone at the dealership look at the scratches and they said that they couldn't be buffed out. [redacted] told me to call back on Monday 9/9/13 and speak with [redacted], the used car manager. [redacted] apologized for the inconveinence and said that they will make it right and fix the problem with my car. However, I had been trying to call the dealership several times since that day and [redacted] has not been returning my phone calls. I have even attempted to email him and he is not responding to me at all.Desired Settlement: I wish for someone from the dealership to get in contact with me and either get the necessary repairs done, or have the cost for them taken off of my loan with the finance company.

Review: On Sept 2012 my husband and I traded a Ford Explorer XLT, for a Saab9-7X Suv. GM on Aug.2012 issued a safety related recall for the Saab0-9-7X vehicles along with a few other vehicles. We purchase the vehicles not knowing there was a recall of any kind. While purchasing the Saab, my husband ask for an extended warranty. We was told it was too expensive and we couldnt have one. The only warranty we could get was the remaining warranty on the vehicle. So they worked the numbers from the trade. We only had $1,000 in addition to put down on the vehicle. My husband picked up the car on a Friday alone because I had to work that night. I then drove the car the next morning to the dealership to sign my portion of the paperwork. I noticed a crack in the windsheld. I brought this to the dealerships attention. They said they had to look into it. After fighting with them about the windshield, they agreed to fix it. They said we cracked it. (in 24hr, my husband only drove from the dealship to our home) Then 2 weeks later the battery died. We thought ok that happens. They ask us to bring it in and the dealership replaced the battery. In Oct. I received a letter from the dealership stating they had buyers looking for our car, and if would be interested in selling it. I called the dealership and spoke to [redacted]. I told him we just purchased the car what did this mean. He said they would get back to me and never did. Now its Nov2012 and we are starting to hear a high pitched, ear piercing sound from behind the passenger seat (where the electrical box is located), when you start the car, when you hit a bump, when your sitting still. Along with the cars electrial system does not shut down immediately when you turn the car off. You can still hear it ,running for about 5 minutes. It also cokes upon starting off and on. I stopped at the Auto Parts store one night on the way home as ask them to hook it to their diagnosis machine. I was tola that ther is a second generation problem in the engine. I ask how do you see that , the guy told me the vin # history, its been noted a long time ago. It stays with the car till someone fixes it. So I called service and they said to bring the car in. I made 2 appointments with [redacted] the Supervisor of Service , but had to cancel because of 2 very bad snow storms. (we live in the [redacted] mountains). Its now Jan2013, now the check engine light comes on. I made another appt. for the service dept. with [redacted]. Who was very unprofessional and didnt want to help us and told me what do we expect, we bought a six year old card, things are bound to happen. He just kept talking about we are out of warranty and would have to pay $100 for them to even look at the car. So I ask to speak to the saleperson [redacted] who sold us the car, and was told he no longer works there. I made a appt. anyway, but when I got there, the check engine light and ear piercing ringing stopped. So I then spoke to the Sales manager to see if we can be put us in another vehicle, beacuse I didnt feel safe in that one. I explained to them that General Motors director [redacted] sent a letter to all general motors/Saab Customers, that a safety recall is being conducted in these areas because we have determined that states using road salt and other chemicals for ice/snow control are much mor likely to experience a short circuit in the switch. It states do not take your vechile to your dealer/authorized sasb service center unless you believe that your vechile has the condition as described. That GM would not have parts or a solution unitl March 2013. I dont feel the car was thoroughly check out before selling it to us.The sales manager [redacted] told us with more money down we could change cars. He then appeased me, sent me outside with another salesman ([redacted])to look at what was on there lot, who said he would call me and never did. Now the bottom line is its been 5 months the car is starting to show signs of trouble. There is negative equity now because we have a note for $15,000 and Blue Book will only give us top 6-7,000.00 for the car. So our negative equity is about 8,000. After going to other dealerships, thinking if we have to start over, we are having too much trouble her, we will try some place else. We were told twice too much neg. equity they cant do anything for us. I then call [redacted] the Used Car Sales Manger. He said I know the situation let me look into it and get back to you. I called again, [redacted] said they we are getting some use cars in next week, come in and lets see what he can do. I said can you tell us what is necessary first before we come down and get turned down. He said sure I will call you back tonight late , it was a Thurs. night at 7:00. He never called. The dealership had a sale convention on Friday. So I called in late for work (not getting paid for it), My husband and I drove to the dealership Sat. morning. It was the only way we could go together. He commutes to [redacted] for the week. Spoke to [redacted]. I ask if they could keep the car, look at it and give us a loner until we decide what to do. He said unless its a service issue he could not. My husband ask could you call your boss. He said absoultly not. On a Sat. hes is not to be bother. He is a divorce father ,and that is the only time he has with his children, that he couldnt call him unless it was an emergency. I pleaded with him concern for my family safety to help us. He said a few vulger words, that I was making him do something against company policy. (All I ask was if he could calll his boss and get us a loner until we can figure out the next step.) My husband finallty ask if service is still open can they at least look at the car so we could at least know why the light came back on and the ringing . He huffed, called service and said I can lone you a suv till Mon. or Tues. That they would send the car to GM dealership to see what wrong. But he is not going to spend any money fixing the car if we are gonna trade. Fine so we drove off in the loner. [redacted] calls me on Monday. said [redacted] in Service said my Saabs vin is not recalled. I called GM and spoke to [redacted] and [redacted] who confirmed that Saab's 9-7X models are on recall just not my vin #. So I called [redacted] back and told him this explained that the misunderstanding was there is a recall on Saabs 9-7X model suv's but not my vin #. He got irrate and said, He was only gonna help us because I said I feard for the safety of my family. It not my problem it the manufacturer problem. I said but you sold us a vechile that is falling apart after 5 months, where is the good faith in buying from your company. He said when did I think the dealership responsibility ended with this car. They cannot go on for 2 years fixing a car I drove off their lot. I said, so you are telling me, we spent $15000 .00 for a car that is going bad after 5 months and you will not take responsibility for it or try to get us into another vehicle. We have no more money we spent what we had. Travis yelled through the telephone NO! I will not try to even put you in another vehicle.Desired Settlement: In good faith we purchased this car from Lehighton Ford. We would just like the president/dealership to respectfully honor this purchase. We purchase this car with good intentions. It only been 5 months and counting. I have never purchase a car and in 5 months had to start paying out of pocket for repairs. This is a top of the line Saab, not a go cart at a carnival. We work hard for our money and $15,000.00 is a high price to pay for something out of our control. All we ask is for a replacement vechile without having to put money down again, so that I can safetly drive to work everyday. My husband stays in [redacted] for the week to save money so I'm here alone taking care of the family unitl he comes home on the weekend. I need a reliable vehicle. There is no one else to help me if I get stuck . I sometimes work very late in the night/retail. Lehighton Ford sent us a pesoanl thank you letter which stated that with this purchase they promise to do all they can to reinforce our trust and confidence in them both now and in the future. This is so far from the truth...
