vinyl plank flooring is separating at seams after install within 3 weeks and is getting progressively worse over time. Lehman requests that I pay for a certified inspector, which shouldn't be my expense. Floor is still under warranty.
I have received the letter on ***. He had purchased this floor in 2015 and was planning on doing the install him self. He had purchased the floor and that was all I or my company did not do anything else. I had sold him a high quality floor with a 20 mil commercial wear layer. I did look at the floor where the seams are coming apart and he does not have the floor installed or locked in correctly and that is why he is having issues with the floor. If he gets an inspector in there and if it comes back saying the floor is defective then yes he will be taken care of with a new floor but I can not help him out until that is done. If we had done the install then yes I would pay for the inspector but we did not. If the the flooring inspector says its the floor and not the install then he will be paid back for the inspector fees 100%.
has reached out him self to the manufacture (***) and told them about the issues with his floor. *** has contacted me with a full explanation of what has happen, *** had explained to *** that there were these small black pieces on the boards and threw them away, these small pieces were part of the locking system that hold the product together. *** does not know what he is doing when it comes to installing this floor. If the floor was put in by a professional he would not be having any issues with this floor. Attached is the e-mail sent to me from the supplier. Dear ***,

The consumer's complaint is for gapping in their Regalia vinyl plank flooring.
The manufacturer was contacted directly by the consumer, and was advised at that time that he had installed the floor himself and had several black plastic pieces he was not familiar with once the installation was complete. The black pieces are part of the *** locking system and they vertically secure the installed floor. Based on this information, the claim has been declined as the pieces were disposed of, rather than used to install the floor.

Therefore since the product was installed incorrectly there is nothing that *** can do at this point for the product. There is nothing wrong with the product, it was just installed improperly.

In regard to last message from Lehman's carpet and flooring;I resent *** saying I don't know what I'm doing.I did everything very carefully,not in a rush,and I even laid floor with a consistent,uniform pattern,something other installers would not have done.I DID NOT I REPEAT DID NOT tell ***'S that I threw pieces away.This floor was not installed improperly.*** does not have a clue,and he is making things up as this goes on.I have receipts showing I paid $4,400.00 dollars for this product with bad reviews.I'd like to be compensated for this big headache.Previously he said I had installed improperly, or a sub floor issue. I asked him? Which is it? He couldn't say,but now he says my installation.So he is making things up as this goes on.Once again before I purchased the product,I explained in detail exactly what my sub floor consisted of and He assured me this product would be fine.This product had bad reviews with same problem.My floor isn't coming apart at butt ends where black so called looking strips are.It is coming apart on long seams.(bad locking system)So much for this back and forth!Please check reviews!About two weeks ago I called ***'s,they told me to call Lehman's and tell them to contact the distributor that Lehman's got product from and that they (***'s) were almost 100% sure Lehman's got it from J.J.Haine's & Company and to contact claims department .I should not have to pay out $500.00 for certified floor person to look at.Then *** told me he got flooring from some other distributor (*** ) Bridgeport W.Va. .Now I winder if I bought some kind of seconds. I also wonder why it says on small sticker on boxes to be sold in NAFTA/AUS/NZ/.I still have four unopened boxes left which *** wouldn't take back.*** (5G) *** run #***. Also the last time I talked to *** on phone,(he called ) *** asked me questions like do you have any pets? What do you use to wash floor with? He is always looking for any technicalities to say I didn't do something right. In 2019, Lehman's had on there billboard - You stand on our floors We stand behind them.That was false advertising.Here are just a few reviews from other unsatisfied customer's that used this product.
