Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Regards, [redacted] Taylor Homes keeps telling me that the home has only a one year warranty[redacted] from Taylor told me that I should have done preventative maintenance, and better care of my house[redacted] from Taylor homes came out several times the first year and made repairs to the sheet rock and shelves in the kids bedrooms. The shelves fell down the next day when my girls put their cloths on the shelves. The shelves fell down because they were not anchored into a stud in the wall,I re-installed the shelves properly myself.Every Sheetrock repair that he made popped off later.I paid a window and door man to come out and cover all the door frames and Windows.I did not even know about the hole in the floor until the other day,The back door has leaked the whole time and we never knew it.The roof also has a leak witch we first noticed last winter. My garage never got fully finished, they over sprayed garage door springs, floor, and sensors.Conctret around my garage door not completely finished, their are holes in my sheet rock from a leaking bathtub,Sheetrock tape is pealing. We complained a lot the first year about shelves,Sheetrock, painting, overspray[redacted] just comes out laughing and doesn't fix anything properly. When we first started having leaking windows in the front of the house,Taylor come out the bricks about the window to try and resolve the leak. The mortar in the bricks didn't match the other mortar and the Windows still leaked.I have to acid wash the front of my house to make the mortor match.I caught them trying to cut corner several times through construction. If I can't get Taylor Homes to pay to finish the job they started I will continue to make repairs as I can afford it

Please allow this to serve as our immediate response to your Management: [redacted] Thank you for bringing this matter to our attentionPlease allow us to share our side of the story—we refer and only work from facts and signed/written AgreementsAfter several months of extensive efforts of Contract building of design changes, options, etcalong with home drawings being revised to suit [redacted] needs, an extensive on-site visit of his property, etcwe understood that [redacted] had opted to not move forward The reason—solely due to additional expense he’d incur due to the location he chose to place his new home on his propertyAs our standard practice and as outlined in numerous signed Agreements, the location of the home is predetermined by our customers—in this case [redacted] On the day of the site-visit, we quickly determined that the location of the home chosen by [redacted] was going to be much more costly due to the lay-of-the-land Our Production Manager, Mike Harris along with input from a professional excavator, [redacted] estimated the additional costs to be approximately $5,to $10, Again, this additional cost was solely due to the location [redacted] has chosen for the home We suggested a different location to keep his costs down but were declined At that point, he indicated that he did not wish to move further with the buildIn fact, I’d like to share a direct quote from our [redacted] perhaps this’ll put things in a different perspective: “The day of pre con, (site visit) [redacted] the excavator and myself we walked lot to locate the existing septic the septic was over Ftaway from proposed placement of new home With an elevation straight downhill about 60-feet of elevation difference the customer was wanting to put a walk out in there basement with the lay of the lot we needed to flip the house so garage was on high side and walkout on left After that, myself and [redacted] located a better spot to build on that was approximately feet in front of where [redacted] wanted the house originally with flipping the house and moving it forward; we could cut out any additional building cost The home owner said we were the third company there and all of them walked away because of lot conditions and said his neighbor down the street would build it where he wanted the houseNo one threatened him, I shook his hand and said thank you for your time and good luck with his new homeI also made several phone calls to [redacted] expressing my concerns about the lot [redacted] *** [redacted] In regards to “telling us thru emails that we must come up with $or more to build our home plus it must be redesigned to suit them and the building site moved to a different part of our property that would be a zoning violation”: Please understand that the home does not need to be redrawn to suit us, it’s not going to be our home—but if he’d like to save some construction expense, we kindly suggested he flip his house, etcto better accommodate his lot conditions In regards to “zoning violation”, since it is the Customers responsibility to obtain the Zoning, Building, etcpermits –they would need to satisfy those local requirements That would not be up to us to determineHere’s how it works from the agreed terms: · Once the required permits are obtained by [redacted] (which we’ll be happy to assist him with) · The home design is finalized and agreed to · If M [redacted] local Zoning Department approves his desired location · Lastly, he can afford the additional expenses outlined to him and above, ----- we’re ready to goAfter all our efforts to this point on just a $nonrefundable deposit, we were disappointed of his position but understood the additional costs were too much for him to bear at that time The deposit is nonrefundable and we’ve spent that amount many times over as outlined aboveAdditionally he has custom prints for his $expenseWe are still hopeful that [redacted] will reconsider his house location on his property and move forward with the buildThis way both parties will feel reconciled and a return on their investment of time and moneyIn regards to “have threatened us with legal action if we do not agree to there terms” I have zero knowledge of anyone from the Taylor Homes team threatening [redacted] or anyone else for that matterPerhaps, what was being explained to [redacted] was taken out of context and/or he was offended—but in no way was it ever intended to come across as a threatAnd if it did, we sincerely apologizeFYI, attached is an email that was sent to [redacted] New Home Consultant on November 23, The purpose of the email was to state in writing what we propose his options to beFrom there we were awaiting his response to the attached email along with phone calls to no availThen, we followed up by providing him page #of his Construction Agreement which simply outlines his optionsNo replyLastly, at this point, we are prepared to do one of two things: Fully Release [redacted] from his Construction Agreement under the terms agreed to; Lien Free and his re-acknowledgment that the $Deposit is nonrefundable Move forward with the build as contracted once [redacted] has come to terms with the house location with or without his additional costsSubject to his choice of locationIn closing, while we wish to resolve this matter quickly and amicably in the best interest of all involved, we respectfully ask the bureau to consider this matter Resolved at your earliest convenience as we feel that we have offered our best professional resolution to no availIf you need any additional supporting information, please let me knowThanks, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The fact that Taylor Homes responds with first how great they are and how many homes they built and length in business and “Business Award for ethics” etc I can only say, that was then and this is nowIn reading all the other complaints we were shocked to see how similar in nature they are, almost to the letter of what we have gone and are still going throughSeems like more of a pattern than a mishapAs my husband and I are older, this is not the first time we have endured building homesI was in the building industry for over years and never have I seen anything like this**Taylor speaks as though in almost every response that no one understands what goes into building a homeThis is emotional, it is personal and it is financialAs far as the build time goes, we were told upon signing our contract that it could be done in to monthsOf course, we knew this was not accurate we figured to months was more believable This is a custom home we hired an architect to draw up for usIt is over Sqftnot one of Taylor Homes modelsWe never expected + years, it is not over yet!!! We get that construction is not perfect, but professionals everywhere can and do get it done right!!! What we have is so far from that it is pure outrageRead the reviews, they say the same thing in almost every responseWe have been told numerous times that we would be closing once by corporate last May and recently by our 9th Superintendent for the end of May Was it in writing? No, Taylor Homes specifically states in their contract “Everything” has to be in writing Hmmmm !!! In regards to cooperation; Taylor Homes video states our superintendent will be there every step of the way, we will be given his cell phoneOur 9th super hardly ever responds as much or less than the other we have had and has not been onsite since JuneWe have been the ones that answer to your subcontractors and delivery people (if anyone shows at all) as no one else is hereYour other video states you follow “logical step by step process that has a natural flow” How is hanging closet shelves and mirrors before drywall, painting be natural? How can electricians install very expensive lighting we purchased, prior to painting the ceilings be as well? Corporate sent emails stating these items would be covered and protected never done as almost everything we put in front of Taylor Homes is handled We have had subcontractors show up at 6:in the evening remove part of the wrap around our garage as it was done poorly by them, say they will return and never doWe still don't have all the pieces needed to keep water from entering our garage when it rains, which has become Taylor's storage unit for all the wrong doors and materials they ordered that were wrong The broken Lock box that our first super installed is still thereWe received frantic phone calls on a Friday night after 5:and more later stating that they were there and could not get inFunny, because one of the subs that used it, dropped the key in the dirt, we found it when we were told thisWe were out to dinner with friends We comply and go beyond Taylor Homes listed business hours on the contract out of desperationBut we have had curious people wanting to come look at the house on the lake on the weekends, so we put our gate upI would ask the Revdex.com to request that Taylor Homes provide their position to the situation, we will be more than willing to as wellRevdex.com states “Start with Trust” many consumers of course go there to check out a business, get referrals and read complaints and resolutions, better to understand a business and how they operate I was a member of the Revdex.com in Cincinnati and Chicago when I ran my companies for many yearsIt was a source of pride to us to have earned the accreditation and ratings and positive reviewsWe have heard the “we will make it right line” for over two yearsWe have sent list after list with items and photos that could have been addressed, some items are worked on and then bigger mistakes make it worse Subcontractors disappear and another is introduced and left to finsih where the others left offMost issues are ignored and skipped over or we are told they are still investigatingWe were also told upon filing mediation for the second time that (in an email) work would stop no one has been onsite since June 27thWhy would work stop? Why wouldn't you try to get work completed and done correctly? Why wouldn't you expect your subcontractors and employees to be assets to your business and uphold the reputation you worked so hard for? We all make mistakes it is how you fix them, is what people rememberAs far as intruding on your “personal social media” how can social media be personal? This is a business matter to you **Taylor; this is personal, financially and emotionally heartbreaking to usI agree in the respect that the mediation be amicableQuick I doubtWe will see how quickly you now will help make this right and finally come to resolution!!! Regards, [redacted] l

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Interesting, they provided the very document that I was quoting that stated the draw in question was for cabinets, trim and paintThe demand from Taylor Homes was not for a partial draw, as they hinted in their reply, which I offered but was for the full 17% draw which was not justified based on the work doneThey agreed to let the bank inspect and accept their decision but before the bank could complete the inspection report they stopped work againThe draw schedule is clear and the bank requires work to be completed prior to payment and Taylor Homes did agree to thatIn this case they demanded a full draw of 17% and stopped work, twiceThere was no misunderstanding as I pointed out the draw schedule but they were very unreasonable and still demanded the full paymentThe bank did finally finish the inspection and authorized the partial payment based on the partial work completedAside from causing bad feeling all around including with the bank, the result of this nonsense was to delay the project at least weeks as subcontractors were bumped off their schedules I agree that work as started back up but it has been three weeks now since this all started and the work in question still has not been completed but at least it has been started They did eventually do the right thing but all the drama and delay was not needed The partial payment could have been made much faster by being reasonable rather than making unjustified demands Regards, [redacted] ***
