*** *** and *** *** came to us and applied for a VA loan to purchase a homeBoth wereveterans, but at the time we did not know that *** had only been in the service for a short period.Therefore, we could not use his partial benefits for the loan, and they did not qualifyAt the
time, theywere not married, and they were told that if they got married and provided a marriage license we wouldbe able to get the loan doneThere is a copy of an email from April 13th stating this.They quickly went to the retail side of Caliber Home Loans and were told no problemFrom what Iunderstand, they went and got a marriage license, but would not come back to us.We understood and told them that the bills we had needed to be paid, and sent them copies of bills.There are copies of two emails sent on April 17th with the invoice for the appraisal report and the creditreport listing that the appraisal gets paid directly to the appraiser.Later on, that same day there was a phone conversation and then an email provided asking him to pay forboth the appraisal and credit reportThere was then a response from *** which stated that he was,"More than happy too!"After receiving no further contact from *** or ***, I sent an email on June 6th, to the real estateagent and to Stavie, informing them that we had heard that his loan closed with the same lender we hadsubmitted his file too and informed him that we still had not received any reimbursement.The response to my email is also included where he informed us that the appraisal was calculated into hisclosing costs and that the, "Matter was closed"And my request for confirmation of payment from thelender since it was us who ordered the appraisalAlso, requesting payment for the credit reports that hehas the invoice for.Finally, an email at 4:23pm on June 6th, informing *** that we did not want anything further from him.As evidenced by the attached emails, there was no threatening language in any of the emailsThere wasno claim that we had already paid for the appraisal and demanded reimbursementWe had initially giventhem the invoices and asked them to pay the VA appraiser directly, but after the conversationdeteriorated we simply requested confirmation that it had been paid and then asked for no furthercontactWe received no such confirmation that the appraisal had been paid until it was attached to thiscomplaint.lngunn L***Nordstrom, Leiren & AssociatesLake Street South, Suite #257Kirkland, W A 98033P: 425-822-2380F: 425-822-5638** Please see attached**
