Lemel Homes, Inc. Reviews (2)

After being threatened with a lawsuit for posting reviews that Lemel Homes deemed defamatory, it is my opinion that they are the most unethical business that I have ever dealt with. Thus far they have refused to provide any evidence proving their claims. In my opinion, they will do anything necessary to protect their business practices at the expense of customer service. Based on recent events, instead of changing their habits to prevent unsatisfied customers, they will threaten a lawsuit for voicing your side of the story. If you would like to hear more about my opinion on why you should not choose Lemel Homes, then email me at [email protected].
If you have already decided to use this builder then I have three suggestions to prevent you from having the same nightmare situation that I had. The first is to reevaluate your choice of this builder once again. The second is to have a clause added to the building contract that bars the builder from charging their markup on the work of you and your sub-contractors. The third is to require that the builder remove their markup on items removed from scope of work after they present the final contract price but before the contract is signed. Because of the cease and desist order that Lemel Homes threatened me with, that is all I can say.
If my previous reasons aren’t enough to sway your decision, then check out my reviews on google and houzz for pictures of what this builder left me with. At $170+/sqft, I expected near perfection, based on their sales pitch, however what I received is nothing even close to resembling perfection. I’ve had to upgrade many items as they were not safe to have kids around. I also had to fix several other items because they were deemed “industry standard” by the builder. Finally, at $170+/sqft, my house is not worth what I paid Lemel Homes to build it.

Two words not in Joe [redacted] vocabulary; IMPOSSIBLE and PROBLEM. Through the duration of my kitchen design and remodel I requested several features other contractors would not even consider. The Lemel team rose to the challenges and exceeded my expectations.
In any construction project one expects the unexpected. During my remodel the unforeseen was never treated as a problem. Lemel's experience and creativity turned what others would call a problem into an opportunity.
My overall experience was very satisfying. I lived in my home during the remodel and was treated with great consideration for privacy and safety. I was informed beforehand what to expect, when the trades were coming and how long projects would take. The subcontractors were equally courteous and willing to give a little extra when needed.
I still wake up in the morning and can't believe this beautiful kitchen is mine. The quality of the custom woodwork, granite surfaces and unique design elements are second to none. Support has also been unparalleled and at the end of the day, that's the true tell of who you're working with.
