Lemon Grass Thai Restaurant Reviews (1)

The restaurant did not honor a valid discount certificate issued by [redacted] web site. I talked to [redacted] the owner of the restaurant. He asked to work with [redacted] and have them contact him to verify the certificate. I explained to him taht I have a valid cerficate which clearly indicates his restaurant's name and addressDesired SettlementRequesting value of the disocunt which is $25.Business Response [redacted] dined in with us and presented a $25 [redacted] certificate to my server as part of payments. My server called [redacted] to validate authentication of the certificate and [redacted] did not validate it. It stated that the certificate had never been issued. My server retried and even let [redacted] hear what the answer was for himself on the speaker phone. [redacted] gave up using the certificate at the time. [redacted] called me a few days later stated that he had contacted [redacted] and asked if I had received a phone call from them which I did not. [redacted] asked me to contact [redacted] to resolve the matter. Trying to please him, I tried calling the number he gave me to find that it was [redacted] general customer service center that would handle all calls. It was the kind of automated voice message that would ask callers to enter a number to reroute calls to its appropriate departments. I gave up realizing that I did not have enough information (certificate number, purchaser's name) on hand to track to the specific case and would have ended up jeopardizing my time going back and forth. [redacted] called me back on December 29th in the afternoon. I asked him to please asked [redacted] to call me and I would be happy to discuss the problem with them. [redacted] sold and issued certificates with Lemongrass's name printed on them at discounted prices. Lemongrass was not the issuer and only relied on [redacted]'s validation method. This particular matter is between [redacted], the seller, and [redacted], the buyer. Lemongrass is at the end of the stream; we cannot change anything [redacted] did with its customers and their transactions. We would honor the certificates only if [redacted] validated them as we always do on our regular basis. We just cannot honor anything because it has Lemongrass's name printed on it. We would risk to see several more of those if we do not set and enforce this rule. To be fair and straight to all parties, [redacted], should resolve this matter between him and [redacted]. In my opinion, he should seek for a refund from [redacted]. If they received a payment from him for a certificate that they did not enter into their system for validation then Lemongrass should not be held responsible. To ask [redacted] to put it into the system after all transactions between Lemongrass and [redacted] has ended and been verified by both parties would not be right. Again, if [redacted] chooses to go forward trying to use the certificate I would be happy to discuss this matter with [redacted] but they must have a good explanation to why this particular certificate was not originally in their system and would be in the system now.
