Lemon Tree Hotel

Review: I planned my families vacation about one month ago. Found a great deal on Expedia, this hotel looked (the pictures posted on the website) decent and family friendly. I was beyond excited to have found the perfect suit. At our arrival the hotel was gated and not enough lighting. It looked extremely old and the front desk area smelt like cigarettes smoke and dirty laundry. My sister said don't judge a book by its cover so we went ahead an gave the room a try, when we checked in the front desk guy was not even paying attention to us, he said we would open the back door so we could unpack our luggage. As we walked in the "suite" it smelled worse. My family then questioned were I had found this place and told me they didn't want to spend the night there. Non parking for our Subarban and the room wa filthy as if it just had been used and hour before we got there. The sheets had stains and had burns marks as if it had been burnt by a cigarette which I had originally requested a non smoking room. My family and I agreed to pay for the night, not make a scene and leave elsewhere. This place would be the last place on earth I would have my family stay at. Bottom line is they need to update there photos on Expedia and not give hopes to out of town people who are not familiar with the area. I regret booking at this hotel and would hope that other families don't go to the disappointment my family went through.Desired Settlement: I would like the hotel to update photos and not advertise the place as a good hotel because it's nothing but smelly and outdated. It's extremely old and not sanitary. They need to have clean sheets, curtains and should be inspected for bed bugs. Also the rooms that have been smoked in should not be able to have a sign that advertises otherwise. Out room was suppose to be non smoke and reeked like cigarettes. They need to advertise truth!

Review: We stayed last night at this hotel and once my husband and I went to sleep I started itching, And my husband thought It was only in my mind because the room was very dirty and our feet got black when we walked barefoot. But I kept itching the whole night and scratched my body very bad.

At 5:00 am when my baby woke up crying in his crib I moved him to our bed to breastfeed him but he started itching and crying right away. That's when we figured out there was really bedbugs there.

I called front desk right away and they had us moved to the room right next to us, the other room was dirty too and itching continued!!

At 8:00 am we went to management to complain and asked for a refund since we couldn't sleep all night but they refused to compensate us, then I asked them if they can wash our clothes because we didn't want to take the bedbugs home with us which they also refused unless we pay the washing fees!!

The manager said that they did inspection but there was no bedbugs in the room but by the time we checked out we saw the maintenance guys taking all carpets and furniture out and started construction at that room which was obvious that they had bedbugs but didn't want to confess.

The next day my husband was admitted to emergency room because of swelling in his hand and feet and severe itching!

$30.00 for itching medicine

$10.00 for laundry

$500 for lack of sleep, time wasted at emergency room, and for the hassle our family had gone through.

$10.00 gas expenses between pharmacy and hospital
